Running away ( Red/open)

Emma was sick with worry after learning what Phantos was planning. This was just way over her head! She was just a simple deliver! It was to good to be true that some rich guy wanted to hire her.. He only wanted her because she was not human.. Man oh man she just had to get out of here! Emma ran around the house packing things she needed. Her heart racing and full of fear. Phantos had been nothing but nice to her but what happens if hero's come after her?? They where not stupid and there was that one time Phantos had her gave a letter to Yuki of the titans. They had not come for her yet but what if they did!!! This was her worst nightmare! They would most likely think she was a bad guy.. She wasn't! She just wanted to keep her Father's business running and now that was not even possible.

Emma had to wait for Red to go off to work.. She had to leave him as well to protect him. He had come all this way to find her but she did not want him to get hurt.. With everything packed she then threw away the cell phone Phantos had given her. And she was going to give up her beloved plane as well. Tears swelled up in her eyes a she looked at her house for one last time. " I'm so sorry Red.. This is for the best.." Emma said as she then opened the door and left. She then made her way to the city and down into the subways. She had to get out and going by train underground was the best way to go.. Or so Emma thought anyway, she then got on the subway train and waited for it go.

Things were going slow at the detective office, with most of the work coming down to paperwork... which he really wasn't suited to doing. He worked best out in the field sniffing out clues and leads. Thus he decided to take off early, with permission from his employer of course. It would be nice to spend a bit more time with his little sister, and in celebration of this little opportunity he'd stopped on the way home to pick up a pizza to share with her. Red rode Dahak up to the house and hopped out with the pizza box in hand before going up to the door and unlocking it.

"Hey Emma! I'm home! I brought pizza!" Red called out happily as he went inside. There was no response. He went to the kitchen and set the pizza on the table.

"Where are you Emma?" He called out again, usually being greeted by his sister within a minute of coming home. He knocked on her room's door before peeking in. She wasn't there. He checked the bathroom as well, being very cautious and making many loud verbal warnings that he was about to enter just in case but she wasn't there either. Finally he checked the garage and saw that her plane was still here, which meant she hadn't gone out on a job. So just where was Emma at?

Red checked every room in the house, but he couldn't find her. Now he was starting to get a tad worried.

"Did she go out shopping or something?" Red wondered out loud as he plopped down on the couch to think a bit. He knew he wasn't the brightest fellow, so maybe he was simply overreacting. After all Emma hadn't been expecting him to come home early so it was possible that she could have gone grocery shopping or something. For some reason he didn't feel like that was the case. With an worried frown he bit down harder on the nom bone he always seemed to have between his teeth and stood up, making for the door. He just couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong.

In the subway a certain hybrid was simply out and about, trying to figure out humans and where he fit in. According to his dad all humans deserved death, and true enough he felt that the vast majority of them really were little better than vermin. Yet he'd met a few good ones, and in fact made friends with them too. Surely there had to be more good humans out there too, which meant that his father was wrong on all this. Yet he still had to go about in disguise due to how the humans would react if they saw his true self. Vrax sighed as he got onto the subway car, adjusting the little chain around his neck that held one of his scales... an enchanted one that would start to glow when his mother was near. So far the scale hadn't even sparkled.

His thoughts on humanity and his place in the world was interrupted when he saw a flash of pink off to the side. It simply caught his attention and he turned his head slightly to look, spotting what looked like some sort of puppy girl. Vrax didn't know what to make of that, but he decided to get a bit closer and simply investigate out of curiosity.

Emma sat on her seat keeping her bag close, she did not back much but it was enough for her. And when she found a place to stay she had more then enough money for a small apartment. Though she had a feeling this was not going to last if at all.. Once Red sees she is missing Emma knew he would stop at nothing to find her.. And Phantos.. What would he do? All she could say if ether one of them found her is that she decided to go on a unannounced vacation. But that would not fly with Phantos as she threw away her phone.. But she could say she dropped it without noticing?? Emma then gave a sigh as she shook her head and then pulled out a book and started to read it. The faster she got out of Jumpcity the better..

Red had now finished the pizza in it's entirety and was now more worried than ever about his sis. Usually she left a note or something if she went out. There wasn't any sign of forced entry or any unfamiliar scents in the home, so that ruled out kidnapping. Finally Red simply got up and left, hopping into his Dahak and strolling the mech down the sidewalk as he sniffed the air. Emma might not use her nose too much, but it was his bread and butter when tracking. It was easy as pie for him to pick up Emma's scent, knowing it by heart now. With some haste he chose the freshest trail and went after it.

Vrax sat down in the seat next to Emma, careful not to let anyone touch him as he did so. While his holo-disguise was perfect when looked at, it didn't do anything to shield how his fur or scales felt if someone touched him. He leaned slightly toward Emma, not enough to invade her personal space, and decided to start a friendly conversation.

"Excuse me if this seems rude, but what are you exactly? I've never seen anyone like you before and I'm simply curious, and a little worried for you since there have been some awful stories about certain people hunting down any non-humans." Vrax was quite blunt with his statement, but he was genuinely worried about this small girl's safety if some of the 'Slayers' showed up or something.

"Oh, uh, sorry for not introducing myself first. My name's Vrax." He added after a moment, smiling a bit awkwardly as he scratched the back of his head with one hand. The motion caused the scale on the chain around his neck to catch the light and shine a little bit.

Emma had noticed a boy sit down next to her but paid him no mind and ignored the fact he was staring at her. She was used to people staring as she was a puppy girl and not a human. Though seeing as she has lived in jumpcity all her life she did not get that many as people where used to seeing here. Though new people did often stare. When he spoke Emma jumped a little as she then closed her book and then listened as the boy spoke. She blinked when he asked what she was and stated he had never seen anyone like her before, then went on to say he was worried about her as there seemed to be a group hunting down non-humans. At that Emma gave a small laugh. "Umm Nice to meet you Vrax. And I don't think anyone would be hunting me. I'm no threat at all. Besides I have been living in Jump City all my life and never had any issues." She said waving Vrax off. Though not giving her name and not answering his question as Emma felt he did not need to know her name or what she was. Though she was having issues now and that is why she was leaving.. But she did not need to tell Vrax that. She just had to stay calm and hope for the best.

"Well you certainly don't look like you'd be a threat to anyone, no offense, but the people I've heard about don't seem to care about that. There was a story in the news about how they killed some of the faculty at a school trying to find a dragon of all things. Frankly any group that crazy probably isn't the most logical group in the world. Not to scare you or anything but they'd probably do after you guns blazing as soon as they spotted you. Even if you've been living in town for awhile this group is sort of new to the area from what I've gathered. A disguise probably wouldn't hurt ya know." Vrax stated his concerns quite openly, trying to offer a bit of helpful advice to this young girl. After all the Dragon Slayers group wasn't above taking hostages and killing their own kind, they'd probably delight in murdering any non-human they could get their disgusting hands on.

"I've already seen some pretty messed up stuff in this city and I've only just started to live here recently. I really hope that you're right and nothing will happen though. You seem like a nice kid." Vrax gave a genuinely kind smile toward Emma, wishing her the best. For some reason he found it incredibly easy to trust this girl, not knowing that it was part of his mental education from his father... a desire to help and trust non-humans. Thankfully that bit of his education hadn't been totally warped in it's view like it had been for Phantos.

Emma ears went flat on her head as this nosy stranger spoke, it was nice that he was worried but what she did and what dangers he may be in was none of his business! And with him talking was drawing unwanted attention! So for now till he finished Emma did nothing but stare at the floor. When the young was done speaking Emma looked at him with a frown." Did your parents ever teach you to mind your own business? Yes I know of the dangers of this city I have been in my fair share of danger but I can take care of myself" Emma snapped in a harsh whisper as she leaned in closer to the boy. Though soon she wished she had not... Emma's nose kicked in and she smelt a all to familiar scent. Phantos... She could smell Phantos on the boy as well as Phantos's base out in the waste lands. "Phan" Emma started to say before catching herself. She then jumped down from her set grabbing her bag. "Oh shoot on the wrong train gotta go!" Emma said as she did her best to lie and got off the subway as fast as she could before it started to take off. Oh man!! Was he one of Mr.Phantos men!?? Had he already found her? Not wanting to take any chances the small puppy girl started to leave the subway making her way back up the stairs.

"Well my dad is sort of a busy body, so I guess that rubbed off on me... haven't met mom yet." Vrax replied when the girl asked if his parents had ever told him to mind his own business. He was about to say more when the girl seemed startled and started to say something that sounded very similar to his father's name, which as far as he knew no one else actually knew. She made an excuse about this being the wrong train and darted for the door before he could really react.

Vrax got up from his seat, having to take care not to bump into anyone for fear that they might feel him through his holo-disguise. The doors on the subway closed right in front of him before he could get off. With a growl of frustration he put his hand on the metal doors and used his unique power. The metal doors looked like they were rusting rapidly, but in reality they were turning to sand. Once the doors were gone he jumped out of the train just as it started to move, startling more than a few of the passengers.

"Hey wait up! What were you saying?" Vrax called out to Emma, chasing after her... wondering just who she was to know his father, or if he simply been hearing things.

Red was reaching the entrance of the subway now and let out a groan.

"Ah man, Dahak won't fit down there!" Red said, smacking himself in the forehead with the palm of his hand. He didn't want to just leave his ride sitting on the sidewalk, but he couldn't exactly afford to just tear a bigger hole down the passage so he could get Dahak underground and to the subways. Since it was his sister that he was worried about however he jumped out of bot and decided to go on foot. It wasn't like anyone could really steal his mech after all.

Emma heard that boy call out her asking what she was about to say. Aww man why was she always the one to be chased??? Emma then started to run faster trying to get away from the boy. But only to come to a sudden stop, now before her eyes she saw Red her older brother. " What!? You? How?" Emma said in pure shock. Though she got over it as she then dashed by her brother and back on the sidewalk. Now not onlt did she have some random boy to get away from her Brother of all people had to show up. Why!! Why was he here?? Emma then ran into a alley way, having used them many times she just knew she would lose those two. Or so she hoped anyway.. It was for the best she left Red, as she did not want to drag him into anything.. " Darn it why is this happening? was all Emma could say as she ran down the alley ways of Jump City. tears starting to fill her eyes. She was in way over her head and she knew it..

Red was just as startled as Emma was when they almost bumped into each other. However a smile quickly came to his face, obviously feeling quite relieved to find Emma unharmed. Before he could do anything other than smile however she was running away from him, causing his smile to turn into a puzzled expression as he dashed back to his Dahak and hopped into the cockpit.

"W-wait Emma! What's wrong?" Red called out as he came to a stop at the alley entrance, unable to fit his mech into the tight space. He wasn't about to go smashing up buildings just to chase his sister, as he simply didn't get paid enough to afford causing that kind of property damage. Instead he used his mech to jump up onto the buildings themselves, using the rooftops to give chase. Emma was acting really weird and he needed to find out why. After all he hadn't hopped entire dimensions just to lose his only family now.

Vrax spotted the other dog person and was a bit puzzled, especially when the male hopped into some sort of mech. The mech wasn't one he recognized and didn't appear to be one designed by his father. The pilot seemed to know the little girl, calling her by name... perhaps a relative then? Vrax didn't want to run into the male and waste time so instead of continuing his chase on foot he decided to take a bit of a shortcut.

Vrax turned into a cloud of sand, blowing up into the air before going after the little puppy girl. It took only a few moments before he caught up and even passed her, suddenly materializing back into solid form only a few meters in front of her. He held up his hands in front of himself, signalling for her to stop even though the appearance of him turning from a cloud of sand into his disguised form was usually enough to stop anyone in their tracks.

"Please stop for a moment, I just want to talk." Vrax said calmly, not wanting to frighten the girl anymore than he had already.
