Running away ( Red/open)

Emma's ears perked up when she heard the sounds of Red's robot jumping roof to roof. Ugh she should have expected no less from him... She would go into the sewers if she had to just to get away! She did not want to involve Red in her trouble! So Emma then started to pick up her speed and hoped she would find a man hole somewhere soon. But she did not get very far when suddenly sand went flying past her and formed into the boy from the subway. Emma's eyes grew wide as she then came to a sudden stop. He had powers!!! This was bad really really bad!! Emma started to back up and looked like she was going to dash off any moment. When the boy said he just wanted to talk Emma frowned and glared at the boy. " You really need to mind your own business! I don't have anything to say you! Just leave me alone please!" Emma said, she would have drawn her gun but she knew it would be useless on someone with sand powers...

[Fox]

Vrax sighed, knowing that he had come on a bit strong with showing his powers in front of the girl. Still he was almost positive that she'd mentioned his father's name. If she knew his father then maybe she knew about his mother as well. It was a long shot, but he'd already come this far so it couldn't to ask now.

"Look, I really just want to talk. Just answer a couple questions and I'll leave okay? First, you said 'Phantos' on the subway didn't you? How do you know my dad?" Vrax asked, deciding to just come out and say what was on his mind. So far he'd only met others that referred to his dad by the name 'Hopeslayer' none that he'd met yet actually used his father's real name. Either this girl was a really good spy or she was someone that his dad trusted. If she was someone that his father trusted, then why hadn't he met her then?

Red wasn't too far behind, jumping off the building with Dahak and landing in an empty spot in a nearby parking lot. He saw that someone had stopped his little sister and was talking, but he wasn't close enough to hear what they were discussing yet. It didn't look like she was in any danger, but the look on her face was clear enough indication that she was annoyed. It was a face that he saw way too often himself. At least he now knew he wasn't the only one that could manage to annoy his little sis.

Emma no longer could hear Red's robot so she could only guess he was near by. Emma did not know if she wanted him to come to the rescue or stay out of it.. The young puppy girl kept her eyes on boy in front of her. There was no getting away as he would just block her every time.. So she was trapped and had no choice but to deal with this boy.. Emma glared up at him as he spoke. Her eyes grew wide as her jaw dropped. WHAT!?? Did he just call Mr. Phantos dad?? He has a son!?? when did that happen? Or did Emma just never had a chance to meet him? And that form may just be a hologram.. Emma then shook her head as she collected herself. Man what was she gonna do??


Her plans of running away where ruined and now she was face to face with Phantos's son.. what a day this was turning out to be!! Well one thing is for sure she did not have to tell this boy she was running away.. Though she just hoped he had not guessed that already.. " Ok fine... You are his son it should be ok.. Mr.Phantos contacted me out of the blue one day with a job request.. After I finished it he hired me on. And I have been working under him for a while now.. That is how I know him." Emma said and just really hoped Red did not hear that.. But then again he has already met him... Though he did not know what he really did...

Okay, so she worked for his dad. That was simple enough, still it was odd that she knew Phantos' real name. It must mean that he trusted her, or at least considered her a friend of some sort. It was time to just come out and ask the question that was on his mind now. Vrax seemed a bit nervous as he cleared his throat before speaking.

"Okay, so you work for dad and he trusts you enough to actually tell you his real name. Since you know that much I was wondering if you perhaps... well, know who my mom is? She's supposed to be a dragon but I don't know what she looks like or even her name. Has my dad ever had you contact a dragon or anything?" Vrax's voice was still a little nervous, but more than anything it sounded hopeful.

Red was waiting for the crosswalk to change so he could cross the road. He was taking his time since it was obvious to him his sister wasn't in any real danger... at least from his point of view. He used Dahak's arm to wave to his sister from across the road, grinning that goofy grin of his as he did so. The people on the sidewalk were obviously a littler nervous with a mech piloted by a dog person nearby so he waved to the people too.

"Nice weather today huh?" Red said, making small talk with the people on the sidewalk. He was used to being a little out of place but he didn't really mind it at all. His attempt at small talk seemed to calm them down and they chuckled a bit, some taking pictures with their cell phones of him. He smiled and posed for them before waving again as the light changed as he could safely cross the road. He trotted across in Dahak, coming up behind Vrax.

"What's the rush sis? Who's this guy?"

Ok so he was not thinking she was running away... Thank goodness. But his next question shocked her. He was looking for his mother that he knew nothing about? And it seemed he was hopeful that she knew who she was.. Sadly Emma knew nothing about any dragon... and it was only just recently she found out what Mr.Phantos is really up to and just found out he had a son! Yeah Emma thought she knew Mr.Phantos but he just ended up being a stranger.. Emma stared at Varx for a moment then shook her head. "No sorry he never gave a job having to do with a dragon.. But.. I have seen one on the news fighting along side a new hero group... Ummm Guardians I think they are called." It was the best Emma could do.. Though suddenly Red showed up, Emma gave a annoyed look and glared up at her brother. "None of your business Red!!" She yelled at him before trying to walk off again, She had to get out of here.

[Fox]

Vrax was a little disappointed that this girl didn't know anything about his mother, but she had given him a clue. He felt a bit silly now since apparently she'd seen the news of a dragon on television. Maybe he should watch a little more T.V. himself, at least the local news at the very least. The thought simply hadn't crossed his mind honestly since he'd been given free reign to come and go from home as he pleased for the most part.

Vrax smiled softly and nodded his head toward Emma.

"Well it wasn't much, but it was more than I knew before. Thanks for that. I won't take anymore of your time young miss." That said Vrax dissolved into sand and simply blew away. He felt more hopeful now, having a more concrete goal to move towards.

Red was startled by his sister's anger toward him, wondering what he'd done wrong. He physically cringed even though he towered over her normally and even more so while riding Dahak. Red got another surprise when the boy Emma had been talking to suddenly just turned to sand and blew away before his very eyes. His jaw hung open and he almost let his nom bone fall out of his mouth before catching himself.

"S-sorry Emma, I was just worried is all. What was all that about though? Also why weren't you home? You didn't even leave me a note like you usually do when you go out and your plane was still in the hangar so I knew you weren't on a job. I was worried about you... you're my only family after all."

Emma was glad the other boy left now she had to deal with Red... As he spoke he made Emma feel guilty, she grabbed her ears as if to try to block him out. But it was not working. She had no idea how to tell Red she was wanting to leave. And all the trouble she could be in! Already once someone had used her to get to Mr.Phantos... What if a hero found the connation and came after her!! It was all just way to much! All she could say she was leaving and not go any deeper then that... "I;m leaving Red... And don't try and stop me... And it would be best you stayed away from me ok??" Emma said starting to walk a little faster though she knew she would not be able to get away from Red.. He was just as stubborn as she was.

[Fox]

"I won't stop you, I'm coming with you. I didn't spend most of my life trying to find you just to let you walk away." Red stated bluntly, crossing his arms and those of Dahak to show that he wouldn't budge on that issue.

"Mind telling me why though? Or where we're going for that matter? I mean we got a cozy little place to live and you're just leaving your plane? Didn't your adopted dad leave that to you?" Red knew it must be something big bothering his little sister for her to try and run away from home and leave behind everything. Heck it must be something HUGE if she was willing to leave her plane behind, Red may have been a bit dense about some things but he knew how strongly Emma felt about her plane.

Red used Dahak to pick Emma up and set her in the little passenger seat behind his own.

"Come on Emma, you can tell me anything. You might as well cause you're stuck with me whether you like it or not." He said in a somewhat teasing fashion, trying to lighten Emma's mood even a tiny bit.

Emma stayed silent as Red spoke, her ears flat on her head. This is why she wanted to leave without saying anything! But nooo that kid had to slow her down and now Red found her... All she wanted was to protect him.. He did not need to be dragged into this even though it seemed like he was more the willing.. When he suddenly picked her up Emma have a shocked yelp as she had not been expecting to be picked up and placed in the back seat. Tears started to fill her eyes again as Red spoke about her Dad and her beloved plane... " Shut up Red.... You don't understand... And I can't tell you ok!?? All I can say you will be in danger if I tell you! You are in danger just being around me! Please just let me go..." Emma begged her older brother.

[Fox]

"If you don't want to tell me then fine, but I'm still not leaving you. I'm used to dangerous situations okay? I was a Hunter back on our homeworld. I fought sky pirates, giant monsters, and other robots much more well armed than Dahak here. Heck I even took on some crazy robots when I went to rescue a missing child in this city thanks to my new job at the detective agency. I can handle some danger." Red explained, unwilling to budge on the subject of leaving his sister.

"Do you know what the last task I took on to get the money to get here was? I fought a giant hermit crab that had a battleship on it's back. If I can take on something like that and come out okay then I think I might be able to take care of my little sister and whatever problems you've got here." Red stopped for a moment as he suddenly had an idea. If Emma wanted to get away for whatever reason, well then why couldn't they go back to the world they born on? The only problem was who would have the ability to open a portal there successfully...

"Maybe we could go back to our homeworld..." Red suggested, not really sure what else to say at the moment.
