Another boring school day. ( Open)

[The Hopeslayer]

Unknown to the slayers, students, or anyone else on the scene; they were all being watched by another force. Hopeslayer had been monitoring the city with even more intense scrutiny than ever since the appearance of the dragon. He wanted a DNA sample at the very least, thinking that he could alter it a bit and grow a new body for Malchior. It saddened Hopeslayer to know that such a majestic creature was confined to mere machinery. If things went well then he might even be able to recruit this other dragon to his cause as well, which would be a great asset.

Yet that wasn't the only reason he'd increased his surveillance. He'd found the dragon slayer corpse at the site of the dragon's appearance. He would not stand for any group of humans that actively hunted any magical beings. In his book there were no greater abominations in his eyes. He would obliterate this group in such a horrific fashion that no one would ever dare attack another magical being. The dragon slayers would be made an example of.

So it was to Hopeslayer's delight when he was informed that some of the dragon slayers had been spotted entering a local school. He didn't care what business they had there, figuring they must be hunting dragons. It was time to put those arrogant humans in their proper place... as fertilizer for the plants. "Send in two squads of scouts followed by an assault squad." Hopeslayer ordered, then figured he might as well have a little more fun with this incident.

"Rend! Tear! Get in here!" He called, summoning the two imps. They came as fast as their tiny wings could carry them. "Reporting for duty boss!" "What do you need us to do boss?"

Hopeslayer grinned at his two little henchmen. "It's time for you two to have a bit of fun. There happens to be a group of humans who fancy themselves dragon slayers. Most likely they also intend to hunt other magical beings. I'm sending in some of my drones to attack them, but I also want the two of you to make an appearance. Rend, I do believe there is a freshly cloned griffon waiting for you in the labs. That should give them something to think about. Tear, take the new MAX suit and cause some chaos among those humans. I want them all dead, and make it painful if you get the chance." The two imps grinned, showing off their tiny razor sharp fangs more than happy with the orders. "Aye aye boss!" "Sounds like fun! I bet the humans splatter real good! Heh heh heh!" The two imps went to get ready and Hopeslayer leaned back and smiled to himself. This was going to be fun to watch. He sent out several of his cloaked surveillance drones to observe and transmit the show to him.

[Yuki]

Sarah blinked as Fox spoke, so Taji and Fox already knew each other and have fought off these guys once before... So the news cast she saw about the dragon was real and it was Taji. Well one thing is for sure those slayers are in the wrong to attack a good dragon. Now if Taji was evil Sarah would be on the side of the slayers. But that was not the case. And for now all they could do was run, "Taylor, Taji Fox, we need to split up!! I will make the slayers follow me. You three go and hid. And don't worry about me, I am a super hero after all." Sarah said with a smile and broke off from the group before anyone could protest.


Taylor was to shocked to say anything as Sarah ran off on her own. Though he wished he could be as brave as her.. He then nodded and turned down a random street with Taji in tow. " Man this is more scary then John, at lest he just stalks me.. these guys will kill us if they get the chance!! Hey lets hid in there!" Taylor said and ran into a near by mall and hoped they could mix in the the people inside. It was a weak plan at best but it was better then nothing.


Mean while Sarah ran in the opposite way Taylor as taken Taji and Fox. She had to get the slayers to follow her. She had no idea how she was going to fight them all off by herself... But she had to try. As she turned down random streets she heard the sound of heavy running foot steps behind her. She knew it was them without having to turn around. It was good thing she split off from Taylor and the others. " Halt you ice witch!!!" One of the slayers called out. That just made Sarah laugh, " Stop? So you can kill me?? I don't think so!" Sarah said as she made her way out of the city and closer to the woods where no one would get caught in the crossfire. " You will till us where the dragon is ice witch!! And the wind wizard!" one called out.
At this point there where no other people around so Sarah then turned to face them. She glared down the group of slayers that had followed her.


She knew she stood no chance alone with these guys but she did not show that fear. In fact it looked like she was looking down on them as if she knew she was stronger then them. The group of slayers looked coldly at Sarah and drew their swords that had now thawed out. In turn Sarah formed two ice swords and got into a stance. " This does not have to end in your death ice witch. We are only here for the blood thirsty dragon. Just tell us where it is, and we may let you live" One said. Sarah just smirked and did not back down. " Ice witch, well that's a new one. Also I have no idea where your so called evil dragon is. I only stopped you because you where threatening the lives of everyone at the school and already killed one person! and as for the dragon it is a person so I cannot allow you to kill it!" Sarah said darkly, calling Taji a it so make it look like she did not know who the dragon was.


" And as a hero of this city I cannot allow that! So came at me slayers if you dare!!!" Yeah she was not in the mood to play around. She had to protect the people of this city and Taji, the half dragon that did nothing wrong. But knew she was greatly outmatched at the moment. " So be it ice witch, today shall be your last... One of the slayers said and came at Sarah sword ready to strike. But just then a powerful lighting bolt came out of nowhere striking the slayers sword out of his hand. " What the???" the slayer called out in shock. Everyone looked up and saw a girl in the air coming down to them in a flying orb.


Sarah knew who she was right away, she helped out during the attack on the tower! Fane then swooped down and landed next to Sarah as the orb around her faded away. She then side glanced Sarah and smiled. " I heard of the attack on the magic box, and thought I could help." the young witch said and looked back at the slayers and held up her staff Sarah smiled and nodded, ok now she felt better about the odds. They may just make it through this alive.

[Fox]

Fox was being jostled around inside the backpack as the group ran, starting to feel a little queasy at all the bouncing. Once they were inside the mall though he had time to reorient himself as their group slowed down to a more normal walk. Fox peeked out of the bag, putting his paws on Taylor's shoulder so his muzzle was next to the boy's ear.

"We're not going to abandon your friend are we?" Fox asked in shock, loudly enough for Taji to hear as well. "We have powers too, and we need to help her! There were a lot of those bad guys after all and they might hurt or kill her! We need to help!" Fox stated, not liking the plan about splitting up. He'd been unable to voice his disapproval earlier due to being inside the backpack, but now that he could say something he was going to!

[The Hopeslayer]

The cloaked surveillance drones arrived on the scene where the dragon slayers had been first spotted, at the school. The area seemed to be mostly deserted now, with some cops arriving in a timely manner for a change. Some students were talking with the officers, explaining what happened. The invisible, floating, surveillance drones stopped by long enough to eavesdrop and then zoom off in several directions to locate the now missing slayers.

One of the drones was in luck and managed to find the slayers, following them as they chased after a girl. Hopeslayer watched the various images being transmitted to him, recognizing the girl as part of the little band that had infiltrated one of his outposts, causing him to destroy the place to bury any evidence they might use to discover his true intentions. This certainly made things more interesting. His other forces were redirected toward her location with orders to exterminate the slayers first and then capture or kill Ice Queen. As soon as he sent the orders though another semi-familiar face showed up. It was the strange young girl that had helped confront his ally Malchior when they'd attacked the Titan's Tower.

"How very interesting... she doesn't appear on any government files at all. No birth certificates, no photo IDs, no dental records... nothing at all! I wonder who or what she really is." Hopeslayer stated to himself. "No matter. I'll try and capture her as well. I do hope the two ladies can handle those knights long enough for my forces to arrive. At the very least they should make for an entertaining show." The kitsune leaned back in his chair and simply watched, unable to do anything to affect the outcome of the battle till his own forces arrived on scene. It would be a good ten minutes before anything but the surveillance drones got there.

[Yuki]

When Fox came out putting his paws on his shoulders and speak. Taylor listened and looked down with a worried look. He knew Fox was right but Sarah had taken off before he could really do anything. All he could think of was keeping Taji safe... It was the reason she took off like that. I.... I know.. But she took off before I could say anything.. I.. I think she did that to protect Taji..." Taylor said weakly. Taji frowned and stepped forward and put her hand on Taylor's shoulder " Go, go to Sarah. I will be fine here. and if anything does happen I can handle my self... Also from here I can go to her house." Taji said and looked at Fox when she said that. She was talking about Malady and knew Fox would get that.

Taylor looked at Taji for a moment, she was making a way for him to go help Sarah. He wanted to but part of him wanted to stay here. He was starting to over come John but the slayers where a whole new level. But.... If he ran and hid it would be like when he dealt with John... No he swore he would never go back to that scared little kid... Tayor then looked up and nodded. " Ok, lets go help Sarah... Taji stay here and be safe." Taylor said and ran out the doors of the mall. Taji watched as Taylor ran out the door. She wanted to go but she would be more of a burden then of use. Taji then started to walk around the mall blending in with the other shoppers.

Once outside wind swirled around Taylor and he took to the sky. " Fox, help me keep a eye out for Sarah. She could be anywhere by now." Taylor said as he looked down at the city from above. Even though he was acting brave part of him had no idea why he was doing this... He was no hero... But yet he was diving head first into a deadly battle.



The slayers had gotten over their shock and where ready to battle once more. " A real witch this time... No matter you both will be dead before the day is over!!" the leader of the group said and started to charge at the girls and the rest of his team followed. As if they where a team that worked years together Fane and Sarah moved as one. they both fired off attacks that complimented each other. Though seeing as Fane was the greater threat more of the slayers went after her. For now the girls split off from each other as they took on the slayers that went after them. Fane had five to deal with and Sarah got three. The odds where still bad but the two fought on to take down the slayers.

[Fox]

Fox was glad to know that Taji would be safe, winking at her as she said where she'd probably go now. He understood her loud and clear and hung on to Taylor as the boy ran back outside and unexpectedly took to the air. Fox let out a little startled squeak as he clung more tightly to Taylor, not wanting to fall. He didn't know that Taylor could actually fly!

"Whoa! I don't think I'll ever get used to being up in the air like this..." Fox commented, making sure not to make any sudden movements so as to keep from falling. He did do his best to look for any sign of Sarah but he didn't seem to be having any luck. After a few minutes of fruitless searching a new scent came to Fox's sensitive nose even at their current height. No, that wasn't right... it wasn't a totally new scent. It was a familiar scent, but what would Fane be doing around here? She was a nice magic user, so maybe she was helping Sarah? That made sense to Fox.

"I've got a scent... let's go that way!" Fox stated, pawing at Taylor's back and then pointing in the direction the wind was blowing the scent from.

[Yuki]

Sarah glared at the slayers she had to get through them and help Fane. No way even with magic could she take them all on, heck she was unsure if she would be able to take even 3 by herself.... Well she guessed it was time to use her powers on them. If it was going to be a sword fight she would lose!!! Sarah then smirked " I hope you guys I hope you can take the cold.... I'm no one of the mill Ice welder.. Its time for a deep freeze!!!" Sarah said as the area around them started to get cold the temp started to drop below zero. The slayers had no idea what was going on but they where not going to take any chances. All three of them at once charged at Sarah but that's what she wanted them to do. With a smirk Ice Queen then jumped high into the sky.

Baffled at first the slayers just gawt before throwing their swords at girl. When they came flying at her Ice Queen then effortlessly kicked the swords away. She then pointed her hands at the slayers that where now weaponless. A beam of ice came from her hands and before the slayers could do anything the three if them where trapped in a think dome of ice. The slayers then started to pound the ice trying to break it but it was in vain. Ice Queen then laughed, she then bounced off a wall and landed next to Fane who was having issues of her own. She was not used to fighting so many people at once and could not focus her magic on all of them at once. So she was happy that Sarah was able to come to her aid. " I thank you, though magic is powerful one can only use so much." Fane said with a weak smile.


Ice Queen nodded, she knew what Fane was talking about. " Well, lets take these losers down!!" Ice Queen said. Fane nodded and the two started to work together to take down the last remining free slayers. Mean while Taylor nodded and followed the way Fox had pointed. With in a few minutes he was able to spot the battle form above. " I see them!!" Taylor said and picked up speed, when he got closer he saw Sarah and Fane, the girls looked cornered he had to do something. He then focused on the wind and made a power gust knock the slayers off their feet. Sarah and Fane took that chance he disarmed the slayers by sendng their weapons flying.

[The Hopeslayer]

It was then that Hopeslayer's forces arrived. The scout drones dropped out from a cloaked aircraft, landing in a semicircle around the disarmed slayers. The robots looked similar to humans though they had long claws on the end of each finger and a small machine gun mounted on their wrists. They were slightly hunched and seemed... unnatural. Before the unarmed slayers knew what was happening the bots opened fire, gunning two down without mercy. Their orders were to destroy the dragon slayers, not the heroes. Those they wanted to capture.

The assault bots dropped in next, though they were fewer in number they were more heavily armed and armored. As if that wasn't bad enough, Rend swooped in as the possessed griffon letting out a loud shriek. "Look at all the little humans! They're so cute in their little tinfoil armor... good thing I brought my can openers!" Rend said with a caw like laugh as he raised his talons for the foes on the ground to see. Tear made a bit more bold entrance as he landed on the ice dome in his heavy robotic form, the little techno-imp smashed the dome entirely and landed with enough force to crack the ground. The slayers near him scurried away, but he grabbed one with a robotic hand and squeezed the man's torso till one could hear bones snapping and see blood gush from the armored man. When he went limp and stopped screaming, Tear tossed the battered form over his shoulder like it was a piece of rubbish.

"Humans are moving down the food chain it seems..." Tear said with glee. His robotic form this time was more compact than when he attacked the tower, built more for hand to hand fighting and with thick armor. He was only about seven feet tall, which was still rather intimidating... especially after seeing him crush a full grown man like a child might smash a toy.

[Fox]

Fox's ears twitched as he thought he heard something fly by overhead, but when he looked up he didn't see anything. He continued to watch the sky for a few more moments as Taylor used his wind powers to help the girls in the fight below. That was when the little kitsune saw a slight shimmer, then over a dozen forms dropping out of the distortion in the air. Fox's eyes went wide.

"Are those more bad guys?" Fox asked in surprise, seeing a griffon and a larger form drop out of the cloaked aircraft and start attacking the slayers. Fox was startled to see that these new forces weren't allied with the slayers, feeling a little relieved. Maybe they were good guys here to help! That thought died the same moment as the first slayers were gunned down.

"Oh no! These guys are even scarier than those other guys! We need to help Sarah and Fane!" Fox called out, afraid for his friends. "I need to be closer to use my magic on those bad things!" Fox was scared, but he needed to be brave and protect his friends... like Malady had taught him to.

[Yuki]

Sarah and fane where feeling good about themselves. They where wining, though soon that feeling was dashed away when these people came in out of no where killing the slayers right before the girl's eyes. Sarah let out a scream of horror and screamed more when the robot and the griffon came. Some how she knew these things where not on their side. Fane was to shocked to scream or so anything. She had never seen anyone shot before, though she had seen people killed before her this was not like being killed with magic.. What snapped her out of her shocked state was the cry of the griffon. Her eyes shot up and grew wide. " A... A griffon!" Fane said as she looked up at the best. But she did not have much time to stare, Sarah grabbed her by the had and started to run. " Run Fane!! They are are not on our side!! Sarah said as she tried to make a run for it with Fane.



Mean while when the those people came in and shot the slayers killing them. Taylor stopped dead in his tracks, he then dropped to a near by roof top and fell to his knees. No...... this... This was to much! First the school principal being shot before his eyes and now the slayers... Now some odd flying bird thing and a killer robot??? No... This... This was to much!! The power of fear had trapped Taylor once again. He was unable to move.
