Pokemon Chat Thread

[Morpha]

Decided since I'm really into the poke-craze at the moment, I figured I'd at the least make a thread. Here anything pokemon related can be discussed.

I primarily will be talking about team builds and the like... or my favorite types and why.

I plan on having a specific team of pokemon once I get PBR for the Wii. What pokemon I plan to have IN that team I don't know yet.

I restarted my Ruby, so my Ruby Team is... gone xP

My current Pearl Team is as follows:
Torterra^lvl42
Luxray^lvl44
Rhampardos^lvl45
Machamp^level43
Staraptor^lvl44
Bibarel^lvl15 (HM Slave)

Bibarel is only there as a HM slave xP

The team from what I've gathered, is pure power. Tyran my Rhampardos has the highest attack stat of the bunch, and Torterra has the highest defense of the group making it a good tank.

I have an 0-5 Record with them... But I think I'm getting better....

I've thought about adding Gengar or Steelix. I'm still trying to decide what should the very last line up should be for my Pearl team. Naturally, I was thinking of Palkia being there just cause.

Like I said, I normally like Dark Pokemon simply because they're cooler looking, AND they usually have a high attack stat. The problem with the last part is that it's not too hard to get a high attack stat. I was surprised to see my Tyran's attack stat go up so quick. A rock with a high attack, always nice xP

I like fuzzy pokemon myself :3

My favorite is Ninetales, plus fire types are just awesome in my opinion. Always choose a fire starter ever since Red and Blue.

I think my team in Platinum was:

Ninetales
Lucario
Espeon
Umbreon
Jolteon
Glacieon

The whole Eevee family are just so adorable! If they make a ghost or dragon type Eevee evolution for Black and White that would just be awesome. :3

I don't really play Pokemon competitively, so I just use who I think looks snuggly and/or awesome :3

I do like the eevolutions to a certain degree. Eevee is adorable :3

Fire types are my second favorite types. A quiz actually said I was a rock type... personality wise.

Not many rocks I like though aside from Rhampardos. He kicks ass xD

Bugs are my favorite type. I was also thinking of swapping my current Scizor (which has higher Defense) for another I got off GTS (which has higher Attack). Then again, I already got part of the current one's move set ready (Swords Dance + Bullet Punch/X-Scissor FTW), and only need False Swipe for catching Pokemon.

Speaking of which... PokeDex Statuses: I got 270 so far.

I dislike bugs... only because I have never seen a single bug type I've never been able to 1-shot. They all suck... and blow imo.

I'm mostly talking about normal bug-types.

Scizzors, Scyther, Heracross and the like who have a second type are better.

Yeah, those tend to be good. Most bugs gain a secondary type for their final evo.

They need a legendary bug. Idk why, I just think that would be a cool idea.

Speaking of legendaries, if you decided to choose 1 legendary, which would it be and for which game?

If I had to choose between Dialga or Palkia for my team, I'd still go with palkia. Dialga squeaks... Dialga actually sounds intimidating.

I think Mew is my favorite legendary. It looks like it would be huggably squeezably soft and snuggly :3 Plus, its a psychic pink kitty thing that flies! What's not to love!?!
