-superhuman strength, stamina...a little more sturdy than your average Joe.
-has use of fire magic, which (if he the willpower and control to use it) burns his target severely, perhaps even to smithereens in the best case scenario. However, as of right now, Toren has not mastered this ability, and the future of him mastering it looks pretty dim.
-is very disciplined; he trains well, and often.
-is very polite; he is always liked by most people that he meets because of his kind demeanor. Whether this is only a mask of his is still to be seen.
WEAKNESSES:
-is competitive; losing is something that he just cannot do. He has to be better, stronger, and faster than everyone else. When that's just not possible, it often gets him into trouble...or makes him overexert himself to the point of extreme exhaustion.
-is skeptical; he can never take anything on trust. He has to see it for himself and know that it's real. This makes it very hard for him to fall in love, or follow orders that he cannot see a reason for.
-is fussy; everything has to be just so, or Toren will freak. If someone gets hurt that he's close to, he will hover like no one's business.
-is cold; Toren often comes off as a marble statue to most people. He has a hard time making friends. ---is interfereing; Toren often likes to take jobs for himself or butt into other people's problems. Black hair and chocolate brown eyes. Toren always wears darker clothes - you'll usually see him wearing crosses as accessories, and of course, his favored katana (which he uses along with his fire magic).
Personality:
A Virgo; while he is very intelligent and polite, and might seem like prince charming from afar, he really is kind of a jerk. Most, once they get to know him, avoid him soon afterwards so that he won't pester them. He is quite content with being alone, however, and has told himself multiple times that he is not lonely, and will never be lonely. Of course, that is not the case. The more that he isolates himself, the weaker he becomes...and this is driving him insane.
History:
Was born with no father to speak of - this has never really been a point of hurt for Toren, since his main concern was his mother. He grew up ridiculed for not having one, and could never understand why everyone was so caught up on it, which isolated him more. In his hometown, no one really liked him; his teachers set him up to be sent somewhere else for high school as soon as the opportunity came around. He was basically shipped all around Japan from then on, gaining experience and learning that no one but his mother actually cared for him.
Everything changed when he began to come into his powers. Accidents would occur to those around him who made him mad. They would be hurt, often killed; everyone knew that he was the cause of it, but they couldn't pinpoint him. Eventually, he was locked away - the best thing that could have happened to him. His Master, who knew how to train him in his powers, just happened to have a job tending the residents of this place. Master trained Toren for two years, then deemed him ready to go into the world...ready to try to be a human again.
While no one got hurt the second time around, things were not easier. At all. Toren still cannot get close to people - only stay at a distance and hope they never come too close. He only ever found community with Slade and his band of villains - Slade was the only one who didn't seem to fear or despise him, so he hopped on the villain train and decided to fight for him against all the jerks who had abandoned him. That is where he still resides today, becoming lonelier, weaker, and more reclusive as the days go on.
Anything else: Has no real dedication to his cause - could change sides in seconds if one benefited him more than the other.
