Another boring school day. ( Open)

Taylor sat in the back of the class room as he looked at what the teacher was writing on the board. The young blond man took down notes so he would have them later for a test or when he worked on his homework. Taylor has been having his ups and downs and his grades have shown it. But know he had them back up again and was going to try to keep them that way. he could not let John get in the way of his life, he had to move on the best that he could. The bell rang and Taylor put his things away. He waited for most of the people to leave the room before leaving himself. It was launch time so Taylor made his way outside and walked over to a huge oak tree and sat down next it to it. He then took out his launch and started to eat.

[Fox]

Fox was a bit bored, what with Morpha being tied up with work once again and most of his friends busy with other things as well. It wasn't a day to go train with Malady and Taji either, so that was out of the question. As he pondered on what to do he finally got an idea on what could be interesting. Apparently most young people went to school on week days while grownups worked, but Fox didn't do either! Well today he decided he'd go to a school and find out what the fuss was about.

The kitsune made his way to one the schools in the city, having no real particular preference. As luck would have it though the school he'd chosen was the one that Taylor attended. Fox shifted into his full fox form as he made his way toward the school, wanting to keep a lower profile after all the craziness happening around town lately. Sure a three tailed purple fox was a little odd, but it drew less attention than his normal form simply due to the size difference.

When Fox arrived he heard a bell ring, startling him and causing him to run off toward a wooded courtyard area. The last time he'd heard a bell like that ring it had been an alarm at a jewelry store that he'd been taking shinies from, and that had ended with a killer robot coming after him! Yet it seemed this bell was just a signal and soon students were going about to find places to get and eat their lunches. Fox's stomach suddenly growled as he realized how hungry he was, having skipped lunch.

The sly little kitsune sneaked through the bushes looking for something quick to eat. An unattended sandwich soon fell prey to him, leaving one girl confused as to where her lunch had gone. Fox was happily munching on his newly acquired sandwich when he spotted someone he knew! It was Taylor! He hadn't seen him since their little episode in the city with Fane as they fled from that creepy Johnathan fellow and his goons.

Fox finished his sandwich, still in full fox form and then sneaked closer to Taylor before hopping from behind the tree and into Taylor's field of vision. "Hi there! Long time no see!" Fox said cheerfully, wagging all three of his tails.

Taylor looked up at the sky as he ate and went into deep thought. Thinking about the people he has met and the things he has done. One standing up to John witch he never thought he would have been able to do. But he did but also knew it was not the end of it. he could just feel it... Until then though he would go about his life as normally as he could. And hopefully everything would work out alright. When the moment Fox showed himself it brought Taylor out of his thoughts and he jumped from shock dropping his sandwitch on the grass. He looked down at Fox and his eyes grew wide in shock. What the!!! Fox??? the little kitsune who had helped him from before. What was he doing here??? Taylor put his hand over his heart and took deep breaths as he calmed down. " F-fox! What are you doing here???" He asked in a loud panicked whisper.

[Fox]

Fox couldn't help but giggle some as he saw Taylor's reaction to his sudden appearance. "You dropped your lunch Taylor, that was careless. Want me to find you another lunch? There seems to plenty around here." As if to make his point he licked some crumbs away from around his own mouth then, grinning happily. "As for why I'm here... well I was bored and all my friends are busy with work or other stuff. I remember people talking about how most kids spent their time at school in the day, so I wanted to see what the fuss was about." The little kitsune looked around, not having been noticed by anyone but Taylor so far.

"I can't say I see what the big fuss is about... I mean there are plenty of other places with better food." It was pretty obvious that Fox didn't quite get the whole reasoning of why kids and teens spent time at school, not understanding that it was a mandatory thing as he never went somewhere unless he wanted to or a friend wanted to. The idea of being forced to go somewhere every day and not get something like money out of the arrangement was pretty foreign to him.

Taylor frowned and shook his head, no he was not going to ask Fox to steal someone else's food. The young boy then waited for Fox to finish talking before gathering his thoughts to explain to the little kitsune what school was for. " Fox... We don't just come here to eat... We come here to learn. Teachers here teach us things we can use in life later on when we are older. It can be boring at times but that's just a part of learning." Taylor said as he did his best to explain to Fox. Just then though a few girls walked over. One was Sarah, and the other Taji though she looked like a different and more like a normal girl. Thanks to a devise that Malady had given her.


Though as Sarah got closer to Taylor she blinked when she saw a purple 3 tailed fox talking to him. Wells She had seen lots of crazy things lately and it did not seem evil so she was not going to raise alarm. Taji though gave a small gasp when she saw her friend here. And it seemed he knew the boy by the tree that Sarah wanted to introduce her to. Though seeing as she was in hiding she could give no sign that she knew Fox and she hoped he would do the same. " Hey Taylor, who's your friend?? Anyway I have someone I want you to meet. This is Tara, she has only been here a week now and I thought I would introduce her to all my friends." Sarah said with a smile. Taji smiled and gave a bow. " Hello, it is very nice to meet you." Taji said softly.

[Fox]

"What's the point of learning something if it's boring though? I'm over two hundred years old and I never went to any school before today." Fox said with a little yawn, his tails wagging lazily. Of course he didn't admit that he couldn't read or how he was quite lacking in a few other academic areas. That was one reason that he let Morpha take care of all the financial things that came up, giving her all the money he brought in.

It was then that some girls came up and greeted Taylor and himself. Fox grinned up at them, his tails wagging faster. "Oh, hello! My friends call me Fox, so I guess yall can call me that too. It's nice to meet you both." He sniffed the air as a familiar scent came to him. He looked a little more closely at 'Tara' when she spoke. His eyes widened a little as he suddenly realized that the scent was Taji and the voice was hers as well. It seemed she was in disguise though, and he recalled the item that Malady had gifted her. While Fox wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, he was smart enough not to blow her cover... though his tails did wag a little bit faster at seeing another friend.

"So you two both go to school here to? Taylor makes this place sound so terribly dull! Is there something I'm missing or are you all just trying to trick me?" Fox asked as he walked around the group, looking at them with mild suspicion even though he continued to grin. He thought that maybe they were trying to play a joke on him or something.

Taylor looked up when the girls came over to them. He smiled and nodded his head and then smiled at 'Tara' wow she looked cute, as soon as that thought came to mind Taylor blushed and shook his head and his face returned to normal. He then stood up and held out his hand. " Hello, I'm Taylor. Its nice to meet you Tara." Taylor said with a smile. Taji smiled back and took Taylor's hand and shook it before letting go. " Its very nice to meet you Taylor, I hope we will become good friends" Taji said happily. Sarah smiled and giggled a little and looked down at Fox as did Taji and Taylor. All three smiled and laughed when he asked if they where going to play a trick on him. " A prank? haha! No why would we you little cutie~" Sarah said and bent down to pet Fox.


Just then a voice went though the speakers. " All students!! Report to the gym I repeat all students report to the gym!!"
both Sarah and Taylor blinked. They had not heard of a assembly going on today. " Well thats odd.... Well come on Tara." Sarah said and took Taji by the hand and started to lead the way to the gym. Taylor blinked shook his head and sighed. ... Ok??? Hey Fox want to come? You will have to hid in my backpack though." Taylor asked and picked up his backpack and held it open.

[Fox]

Fox was a still skeptical about the appeal of schools, but at least he got to see Taji outside of Malady's place for a change... even if the half-dragon was in disguise. Sarah seemed quite nice too, and he appreciated the petting on the head and let her scratch behind his ears a little. Then a loud voice came out of nowhere and startled him, but it seemed that his alarm was unfounded as no one seemed to be panicking. Now this was starting to seem exciting at least.

When Taylor offered to let Fox come along the little kitsune nodded eagerly and hopped into the backpack, making himself comfy within it's confines. There was a couple books inside but what interested him was a bag of chips... though he decided not to eat them since they were Taylor's and the poor boy had dropped his sandwich earlier. He made sure not to crush the bag of chips, shifting things around a little to make himself comfortable at the same time. He had his head peeking out of the bag, grinning all the while.

"So what's going on? I hope it's something fun!" Fox said, his tails wagging inside the backpack.

Sarah made her way to the gym with 'Tara' in tow. She had no idea what was going on but it must be very important if the school suddenly needed to call a assembly out of the blue like this. " Sarah, does this often happen often?" Taji asked as they entered the gym along with other students who looked very confused and talked with their friends as they all found places to sit down. Sarah shook her head and looked back at 'Tara' " No, well rarely. But this is very odd. Here lets sit here and save a spot for Taylor." Sarah said fighting through the crowds and found a spot to sit down. Taji nodded and sat down next to her and saved a spot for Taylor. She then kept a eye out for the blue eyed blond haired boy.


When Fox climbed into his backpack Taylor picked him up and held the backpack in his arms. He then started to make his way to the gym. Though when Fox poked his head out Taylor gently pushed his head back into the backpack. " I don't know but stay down. I don't want people to bug out if they see you." Taylor said in a whisper as he made his way through the crowed. He then started to look for Sarah and 'Tara" he wanted to sit next to him. He then spotted Sarah as she was standing and waving to him. he them smiled and made his way over and sat down next to 'Tara'. " Sarah, have any idea what is going on?" Taylor asked as he looked over at her.


Sarah shook her head and looked back at Taylor. " No, your guess is as good as mine. Sarah said. At that moment the school principal came out followed by a group of some scary looking men with swords, some had suits and some where dressed like knights. Taji saw this and did her best to stay calm, if she freaked out know she and everyone here would be in danger. How.... How did they find out she was here already? Well if they knew who she was they would have come and got her already... This may be away of flushing her out... " S-students, t-these men have so-" principal said before just being shoved out of the way and falling to the floor.

The leader of the group stepped up and spoke. " As I'm sure you are all aware there was a dragon sighting some time ago." This was met with a few laughs but where soon silenced by the the looks of the slayers. " the dragon is very real and has killed one of our own. He have been tracking the beast and have reasons to believe it his her among you. Dragons can take human form and plan on flushing the beast out by any means possple..." As to prove a point he took out a gun and shot the principal dead.


Everyone screamed as they saw their beloved principal shot right before their eyes. But no one made a move scared now they would be shot to. Taji's heart started to race, everyone was in danger because of her.... She.... She just could not allow anyone else to be hurt. " That is what happens to people who hide a dragon from us or just gets in our way.... Now please students I know someone of you know who the dragon is... Or just make it easier on your self beast and show yourself..." the slayer said as he pointed his gun at other staff members. " Or I will shoot everyone here one by one..." he threatened darkly. Taylor was to scared to move. This was worse then John by far! Sarah was scared but she just glared down at the slayers.

To her they where just scum and as a hero she had to do something... But what??? The only way was to show her powers and get other metahumans that came to this school to stand up and fight. It would happen if someone stood up. She then looked over at Taylor, he was always scared but something about the boy had changed. Well he needed to stand up and fight. Taylor felt someone looking at him and turned his head to side look Sarah. He read the look on her face and knew what she was thinking... Fight back. He gave a small nod, yes they could not stand by and let this madman kill anymore people. " follow my lead" Sarah mouthed to Taylor. Mean while Taji saw the small exchange. If they where metahumans........


Sarah then looked at the guns and swords they had on them, just like she did once when she fought some of John's goons at the bank she focused on the guns, swords. And before they knew what happened the swords where frozen sold in there scabbares and the guns frozen sold and now useless. She then stood up and so did Taylor. He then whipped up a strong gust of wind and sent the slayers flying to the other side of the room. Sarah then held her hand out and formed a ice sword. " Run!!" was all Sarah said. The other students looked at Sarah and Taylor and shock before getting up and running out of the gym. Yep everyone knew now that she was Ice Queen... But she had no other choice in the matter.

The knights where shocked and to stunned to move at the moment. Sarah knew she and Taylor would not be able to fight them and started to run for the door. " Come on!! We stand no chance fighting them!" Sarah said as she ran. Taylor put his backpack on his back tool 'Tara' by the hand and ran after Sarah They made it out of the school and off the school grounds. They then started to run down the streets. " Those guys wont stay down for long! We have to try to lose them while we still can!" Sarah said. Taylor nodded as did Taji. Though tears formed in her eyes. This.... this always happened... Would she ever be able to live a normal life. She looked at Fox with teary eyes, she had no idea what she was going to do now.


" Man what a way to end a school day!! principal is dead my cover blown... Ugh!!! I don't care if a dragon was in out school!! That gave them no reason to kill someone!!! As for the dragon I don't blame it for not showing its self." Sarah said as they ran. " Nether do I." Taylor said. That just made Taji cry more she... she had to tell them. " I-i'm sorry!! I'm the one they are looking for its all my fault!" Taji cried. Both Sarah and Taylor stopped and looked at Taji in shock. " I.. I'm a half dragon... My...My name is Taji.." The half dragon said. Sarah just smirked, " Well all the more reason to keep running come on!" Sarah said and started to run once more. Taylor just smiled and took Taji by the hand and ran once more. Mean while the slayers where up and running and chasing down the two that dared stand in their way.

[Fox]

Fox was getting more and more tempted by the bag of chips in Taylor's backpack. Yet when they arrived in the gym his ears folded back at the noise of all the students chattering at once. It was muffled a little due to the bag, but not nearly enough for his sensitive ears. He peeked through an opening in the bag, one emerald eye gazing at whatever it could while staying unseen inside the backpack. Soon the crowd quieted down as some older human came out and got their attention, followed by several other humans that did not appear friendly at all... and in fact he recalled seeing someone similar attacking Taji the first time he'd met her.

"Oh no..." Fox muttered unheard inside the backpack. Soon enough his fears were confirmed when the older fellow was mercilessly shot down as the slayers demanded the dragon... demanded Taji. Fox had been caught so off guard that he hadn't had time to conjure any illusions to help the man out, and was still a bit dazed as Sarah did her thing and froze the weapons. It was weird, but Fox knew it was her that froze the weapons without even being able to look at her from his current angle inside the backpack. Taylor followed up with a blast of wind, and then everything was chaos as all the students started running. Fox bounced around as he was jostled around inside Taylor's backpack as they all ran. Fox was starting to feel a little motion sick, so he stuck his head out of the backpack again to get some air as he heard Taji confess her identity to the others.

"I'm just glad your safe Taji! Those guys looked like the other guy who hurt you the day we met!" Fox blurted out, before covering his mouth with his paws. Perhaps he'd said too much, but at least he didn't mention Malady. "Those guys are really tough! I think we should avoid fighting them if we can..." Fox added, remembering how it took both Taji's dragon form and his own illusions to defeat just one of these people before. Even then Taji had been hurt badly enough that she needed to see a healer at the hospital.
