In the past, light and darkness fought a great battle for earth. Light had used the last of her life energy to seal them both away in a hidden world.
Followers of the dark soon emerged, and so did heros.
First, a dark user of the element fire tried to control the world, he was destroyed by the light element heros.
Second, a powerful sorcerer tried to rule not only our world but the spirit world. A group of powerful sorcerers and sorceress defeted him.
Third, a young child, with the power to destory everything. He was the strongest of the brothers, and was the first to come close to releasing their master from his hell. Light had put her power into magical cards, and two young protectors were able to weild their power, and bring peace at last.
That was over a thousand years ago. Some say, it is just a legend, a bedtime story to warn children to be good.
Others know it is true, and know that it is not yet over. Genkai has trained her Spirit Detectives to keep the evil at bay, but the darkness is getting stronger. It is time for the Protectors to find help, and help is coming. The souls of the past heros, have been reborn, and soon will awaken to defeat the Dark Master, once and for all.
