Name: Tetroneaque Swiftpaw Tailchaser aka "Fox"
Age: 224
Race: Kitsune
Powers: Being a kitsune, Fox has heightened senses. He can see in the dark, track scents better than most dogs, and has very sensitive hearing. Unfortunately all these abilities are also a weakness as bright lights, loud noises, and strong odors can all cause him physical pain. Another trait of his racial heritage is the ability to transform between his bipedal form and a full fox form, however he still retains his multiple tails and oddly colored fur which makes it impossible to mistake him for a normal fox. Fox happens to also have ninja like agility and quickness, performing acrobatics at a level that most humans (except a few notable heroes...) can only dream of. He also happens to be quite the powerful illusionist, creating illusions that can trick all five senses of the body. Since he has honed these mental images so much he also has a surprisingly strong will and is nearly immune to direct mind control. Lastly he can also create small orbs of 'fox-fire' which are simply little blue orbs of what appear to be fire. These flames cast light but do not create heat, thus can not harm physical beings or even start a fire from a pile of kerosene soaked rags.
His weaknesses include everything that would affect a normal human being. Being shot, stabbed, punched, ect. all hurt him... alot. He has a light weight frame is isn't made for fighting so a couple good blows would likely knock him out. He also has the same weakness as all of his race, and that is his tails. If anyone grabs a hold of any of his tails he becomes unable to use any magic or even fight back, going into a near full-body paralysis until his tail(s) are released.
Date of birth: October 1st, 1786 AD
Home: Was born in Japan, then was confined magically inside a statue for about two hundred years. Since being freed he was taken in by Morpha and currently resides with her.
Alliance: Choatic Neutral, leaning toward good.
Relationships: He is Phantos Swiftpaw Hopeslayer's younger cousin, though he doesn't know Hopeslayer is alive still.
He is friends with Shaz, as Shaz is the one who let Fox out of the statue. Fox is in love with Morpha and thinks of her as his girlfriend.
Appearance: Fox is quite similar to his cousin, Hopeslayer in general looks. He's only five foot tall if you count his six inch ears into his height calculations. Where Hopeslayer is crimson and gray, Fox is purple and white in his fur coloration. Fox's eyes are a vibrant emerald green and he has a cute black nose, and comes across as downright adorable most of the time. His claws are a slightly off white tint, and are usually well kept and clean. Despite the ability to create masterful illusions, he doesn't seem able to disguise himself... or perhaps the thought hasn't really come to him. Anyway, he does wear a disguise of sorts most of the time to at least attempt to appear human. He wears a long loose robe with a hood, long enough to hide his three tails and cover his ears when the hood is pulled up. A set of soft leather gloves, and comfy boots help hide his animal like claws from prying eyes too. Lastly he wears a white mask with red accents that looks very much like a smiling fox, as inconspicuous is not a part of his vocabulary.
Personality: Fox is a mischievous little guy, easily distracted by shiny objects, new foods, and toys. His mental development is a little stunted, and he behaves like a young teen despite being over two centuries old. It's quite common for him to act out for attention just for the sake of having attention, whether positive or negative. Almost anything is like a game to him. Right and wrong are not very clear to him, though he doesn't like seeing anyone sad or hurt yet will happily steal something just to get someone to chase him. Shiny objects infatuate him though and he'll go to great lengths to obtain a new 'shiny' once he sets his mind to add it to his collection. He's very clingy to anyone he takes a liking too, as his biggest fear is being alone again.
History: Fox was born near a small human settlement in the mountains of Japan. What made this place special was that the humans there trained to be ninjas. Fox loved watching the humans practice and would often imitate them when he wasn't playing with his kin. His clan thought he had an unhealthy obsession with the humans, but figured he'd grow out of it eventually. Unfortunately he never got the chance to grow out of it.
One day, while imitating the ninjas of the town, he was caught by one of the very ninja he was playing as. While quick and naturally agile, he was still very young and was captured. The human couldn't believe his luck at having caught a kitsune and meant to keep him around, thinking him good luck for the village. While he wasn't mistreated, he was still a prisoner and was not let out of the village. He constantly tried to escape, but he simply wasn't quick enough against so many skilled ninja. He felt resigned to his fate. This didn't go unnoticed however and his parents went to meet with the rest of their clan to figure out the best way to rescue him. That was when misfortune truly struck, as it was at that particular meeting that his clan was wiped out as two rival human factions fought and the forest caught flame.
Fox, as that was what the folk called him since he refused to give them his real name, stayed at the village and watched the people. He learned all he could from watching and was treated like a favored pet by the whole settlement. Yet after years of this, news started coming in of a spirit that was slaying humans and destroying entire villages. When it was discovered that it was a kitsune, the village soon contacted a sect of monks as they thought the incident might somehow be related to Fox. The monks decided that having a kitsune in the area would likely only provoke the renegade further and asked to take Fox away. The elders agreed.
Without even asking his opinion, Fox was sealed inside a small jade statue. The monks intended to simply keep him sealed for a short journey to the capital. This was not to be however, as the small band of monks were waylaid by brigands and the statue stolen. It didn't take long for the statue to find it's way to market where it was purchased by an art collector who was visiting the country from England. Thus Fox found himself bound half way across the world. He was vaguely aware of his surroundings during this time, picking up the English language while he was sealed in the statue. Since no one actually knew there was a real kitsune inside the statue, he was merely treated as a valuable piece of art. It was lonely... very lonely.
Over the years Fox made up his own little world in his mind, for lack of anything else to do. While he didn't realize it, he was practicing his illusion magic. With nothing but this to do he became better and better at it. He didn't even have the luxury of sleeping or eating during his confinement inside the statue, thus he practiced his illusions to keep himself occupied. He kept this up for over a century, his mind remaining in a child like state to keep from going insane.
The little jade statue remained in a private collection for some time, passed down through the collector's family. Eventually the statue was donated to the museum. Fox remained in his own little world, quite literally, while the statue that contained him was sent from museum to museum to be put on display. Now the statue is on display at the Jump City museum.
Anything else: Fox just wants some friends... if he steals from ya it's really nothing personal. He's just as likely to take a shiny nickel or piece of tinfoil as he is to take a gold watch. He can eat a lot more than you'd think at first glance, by which I mean about three times his own body weight in a single sitting if he's really hungry. This food is metabolized quite quickly into stored energy which his kind use for growth spurts to gain their extra tails.
Addition: Fox recently acquired 'Nature magic' after being granted a wish by Evangeline. So far this magic only lets him control existing plant life in an area to a small degree, though sometimes his emotions can also cause changes in nearby plants such as him being very happy causing plants to suddenly blossom...even if they don't normally flower.
