A hectic day ( Hopeslayer)

Taylor listened once again to the officer's words.. But again something was not adding up. He did not know what but... The cops he knew only really worried about humans and not much about nonhumans.. Taylor then stood up shaking his head. " They would most likely come after me rather I know that little guy or not.. Sarah and I where the only ones to stand up to them. I have been working on making myself stronger.." He said as he then walked over to the door. " If there is anything else about the school case feel free to contact me." Taylor said as he opened the door and started to leave. He was not going to say anything about Fox. He is a trusted friend and team member. And he was sure he would not like it if He just told anyone about him. Besides with the team they where all in they did not really need any help from law enforcement.

Rend frowned, or rather the policeman he was possessing did. He got up from his seat and grabbed Taylor's shoulder before he could leave through the now open door.

"Now now, I wasn't done asking you question young man. Terribly rude to just get up and leave during a conversation. Also it isn't nice to lie to the police." Rend said, just a hint of malice leaking into his tone now. His grip was firm on Taylor's shoulder as he turned the youth around and back toward the office.

"Please take your seat again." Rend gestured toward the chair once more.

Taylor came to a forceful stop when the officer placed his hand on his shoulder, and he did not miss the slight malice in his voice as he spoke. But before he could try to pull away the officer forced him to turn around asking him to take a seat. Ok.... Ether this was a dragon slayers looking for info on Fox... Or it was the other force that showed themselves during that day also... The ones that killed the dragon slayers and chased Him and Fox for a bit.. If he remembered right one of the goons had called out saying their boss just wanted to talk to them.. Though most likely it was Fox who was the target... And judging by the angle of that video he had shown. It was tapped by the robots that had been chasing them.


Taylor's heart started to race a bit more as he thought of what to do, he could not stay here that was for sure.. And none of the others where at the school that he knew of... So his best shot was to get away and call for the others for help." I don't know who you really work for... But I have nothing to say to you." Taylor said as he then quickly moved to the side holding up a hand and with a powerful blast of wind to hopefully knock the man off his feet. As Taylor was no longer fearful of using his powers on others if they meant harm in anyway.

The young boy then bolted out of the office and out of the school. Not saying a word to the school staff. Once outside Taylor used his wind powers to lift him into the air and he started to fly away as fast as he could. He then took out his communicator turning it on. "If anyone is hearing this I could use some help! I.. I think Hopeslayer's goons are after me!" He said, yes thanks to Yuki of the titans they knew at least the codename of the one who made lots of robots and sometimes mythological creatures. So that man back there was most likely a robot. Or so Taylor thought anyway.

[The Hopeslayer]

Rend cursed himself for letting Taylor escape and then smiled devilishly as he thought of a way to at least besmirch the boy's reputation. The possessed cop pulled his handgun from it's holster, clicked the safety off, pointed it as his own heart, and then pulled the trigger. The body blew backwards, a fatal hole blown in it's chest as the officer's life blood leaked out onto the floor. Rend flew out of the body and smirked at his handiwork, watching the light fade from the innocent officer's eyes.

"Shame the kid wouldn't play ball, but hey at least you still get to be useful to the boss." The imp patted the now dead cop on the cheek as his brother deleted the information on the phone and hopped out of that. The two imps quickly made their way out of the school, making sure not to get seen as they did so. They could both hear the screams and confused shouts coming from the room where Rend had murdered his ex-body.

"Well, that will certainly draw a lot of attention to the kid. The police aren't going to like not knowing what happened to that jerk back there. They'll probably hound that kid for awhile till they find out what happened." Tear said to his brother as they flew away from the scene of the crime. They had no chance of catching up to Taylor though with their tiny wings.

"Heh heh heh! With any luck they'll think he's a cop killer and arrest him. That ought to draw his friends out of hiding too once they find out how much trouble he's in! Then it will be easy to find who we're looking for." The imp was quite pleased with his little change of plans, thinking himself quite clever for coming up with it.

Taylor flew as fast as he could. Not knowing the officer he had been talking to was now dead. He started to grow tired, he then landed on one of the many alleyways of jump city and hid. And the first voice he heard was Amara's out of the communicator." Roger that Taylor! Stay where you are and keep out of sight!" Amara said. Taylor nodded, " Yeah can do... Please hurry." Taylor said as he then started to wait.

Mean while Kaleo was in her office when she felt pain like she had been shot, Kaleo gasped as she then started to have a hazy vision, She saw a boy she saw what he was wearing and that he had blonde hair but could not make out a face. She then felt like she had been pushed back and the boy ran. Then for whatever reason the victim raised his own gun and shot himself and the vision ended. Kaleo found herself on the floor gasping.


"Well you got my attention dear.. You could have been more gentle about it..." Kaleo said as she stood up and the pain faded away, "Ok so that man has just been killed.. I'm guessing it shall be on the news shortly.. And what I got from that vision the boy may be blamed but he did not do it.. And it felt like man was not in control of his own body.. " Kaleo said as she turned on her TV and started to flip though news channels.

Fox's ears perked up as he heard Taylor's distress call over his own communicator. The little kitsune sprung up from the couch in their hideout and grabbed his things before darting out the door. He knew his way around the city quite well, and he'd have no problem coming to his friend's aide.

"I'm on my way too Taylor!" Fox replied over the communicator as he ran down the sidewalk before taking a turn down an alley. A few well timed jumps and a bit of acrobatics and he was soon on the rooftops, his mask and hoodie on so he wouldn't stick out too much.

The vice principal was quick to call the police, and upon hearing that an officer was down they were quick to respond. Police were already on the scene to investigate officer Hanagan's death. The room looked there had been a struggle due to the way Taylor's wind power hand knocked the man down, strewing papers and such about. The cause of death was obvious, one precise shot to the heart with the officer's own gun. There were burn marks on his shirt which meant the shot was pointblank range. They already had their forensic analysts on the scene and were dispatching an APB to locate their prime suspect in the case so far... which happened to be the last person to see the officer alive.

Rend had already appropriated another human host for himself, some regular schmuck from a coffee shop. Of course there was a cellphone in the teen's pocket for Tear to occupy too so they wouldn't draw attention to themselves.

"Try and find another cop to possess, if I can get into their police scanner we'll be able to get to the kid quick once they find him. Hopefully he's already called his friends for backup since you spooked him. Heh heh heh! If we're lucky we'll not only find the target but also ruin that kid's reputation."

Taylor's eyes grew wide when Fox said he was also coming, not good not good! " Fox no! His target is you! If you come you will be running into a trap! I think its Hopeslayer! The guy had a video when we where being chased by his goons! I repeat do not come!" Taylor said and hoped Fox would listen. But he had a feeling that would not be the case. Ugh he had to find a better place to hide. But he had a feeling there was no place to hide...


Yep it was soon on the news, a cop killing and the suspect was a young boy called Taylor. hey that was the same boy that saved the school from a group called the Dragon slayers. Could the cop when a Slayer in disguise and then shot himself for whatever reason? No... In that vision the man was not in control like he was possessed. " I have to find that boy.. Help me find him please.." Kayleo ask the spirits. She then soon was out the door and in her car.

Kaleo then drove down the streets following what she called guardian spirits, the good spirits in the world that could move on but chose to stay in order to protect loved ones or anyone in trouble. It did not take long for the spirits to lead Kaleo to the boy. He was in a alleyway. Kaleo then got out of her car and soon spotted the boy. Who started to back away. "No wait its ok Taylor. I'm on your side. My name is Kaleo Kasser I'm a private detective and I also happen to be a psychic. I know what happened I saw a vision I know you did not kill that officer." Kaleo said with a smile.

The utter shock came to Taylor, What killed? But the officer was alive when he left! " What! He;s dead! but he was alive when I left! How..." Taylor said as he started to panic. Kaleo had a feeling the boy did not know. " Quick come with me I can protect you. I wont let them lock you away something you did not do." Kaleo said and hoped the boy would trust her as they did not have much time.

Taylor knew he was in trouble and did not have many choses and running would not look good ether. " Ok I will come with you." Taylor said as he then followed Kaleo getting into her car but stayed low as Kaleo drove off. Taylor then spoke into the communicator once again telling his friends he was with a woman named Kaleo and that she was taking him to her office.


Kaleo listened as Taylor told his friends where he was being taken to. She felt the the boy she really did. Something was going on but she did not know what till she was able to question the boy. " Taylor dear I wont be able to keep it a secret that I have you. I will have to tell the police. But I will wait till I can talk to you and your friends ok?" Kaleo said. Taylor nodded, " I... I understand.. It would look bad if I ran.." Taylor said trying to keep calm.

Fox was coming no matter what Taylor said. He wasn't going to hide while his friends were in trouble, because you mess with one Guardian you messed with them all. He didn't know where this Kaleo person's office was though, Fox wasn't really the best at following directions. Luckily Eric picked up his communicator and chimed in.

"This is getting serious. I'll meet you there, I know where the place is. Fox, meet me on the way." The Kitty Knight was firm in his orders and knew Fox would listen. Once they met up they'd go to the necromancer's office. Eric wasn't looking forward to seeing her again as his paladin upbringing simply didn't tolerate necromancers. Also his last time seeing her hadn't really made him all that amiable toward her.

Rend and Tear managed to find a new cop to posses, Rend taking over the man's body while Tear possessed the car. It was easy enough to catch all the chatter going on, the police basically combing the city for Taylor now. They weren't one hundred percent sure that he had killed officer Hanagan, but he had been the last person to see the officer alive. Also the fact he'd fled the scene before anyone even arrived didn't look favorably on him. The two imps couldn't have been happier with the results so far. Now they just had to make sure that they were part of the group of cops that found Taylor.

Eric and Fox met up with no problems, Eric leading the way to Kaleo's office. The two moved as quickly as possible, determined to find and help their friend. Someone was trying to set Taylor up, going so far as to murder a cop to do it. It was hard to tell just who it might be yet, but from what Taylor had said over the communicator it seemed that it was likely Hopeslayer behind it due to the footage Taylor had seen. Time would tell however.

Eric paused at the entrance of Kaleo's office, his arm guard lighting up at the presence of what it considered dark magic. He ignored it for now as it had reacted the same last time he'd come here. The Knight put a hand on Fox's shoulder to reassure him that things would be fine and then led the way inside to meet with Kaleo and Taylor. Hopefully Amara was already here or would arrive soon.

Kaleo's heart went out to the boy, at a first glance he looked like a normal teen. But he was indeed part of a hero group. And now dealing with issues that came with it.. Though she cringed a little when she heard Eric's voice.. While she had no ill feelings for the Kitty knight she knew he was not to fond of her. Oh well.. She could not help being what she was. And she is using her powers for the greater good. Soon Kaleo came to her office, She then got Taylor into the building where his friends where now there standing. She gave a nod to Eric with a smile before closing the blinds. So no passerby could look in.


" Well then seeing as we are all here please take a seat." she said in a warm and friendly tone. With that done she sat down in her own chair and looked at Taylor giving a nod. " Alright dear.. Please tell us what happened." Kaleo asked. Taylor was fiddling with his hands on his lap as he stared down at the floor. Unable to bring himself to look at his friends. He had put them all in danger if anything where to happen it would be his fault.

" Well I was called to the office at school.. And their was a police man there.. He said he wanted to ask question's about the attack on the school. It started out normal.. But then he took out his cell phone and it showed a video of Fox and me running." He said as he glanced over at Fox before looking down at the floor again.

"I knew something was wrong with that, as the angle of that was from behind. And the only thing behind us at the time was that over grown bird thing and some robots.. So I tried to leave but then the officer tried to stop me. I then knocked him over with my wind and ran. He was alive when I left I swear! I could never kill anyone!" Taylor said tears now forming in his eyes as he looked up.

Kaleo said nothing as she took notes and nodded as Taylor spoke. It was just like the vision she had.. " Yes.. That is what I saw in my vision.. And when you fled the man killed himself. Though also I noticed something did not feel right. Like the man was not in control of his own body.. I fear he may have been possessed by something.. A ghost or a demon I could not tell." Kaleo said with as she started to rub her chin as she tried to think of something.

Soon the door opened and a winded Amara came though the door. " Ah.. Ah.... Sorry I'm late!! I'm not a good runner you know..." Amara huffed as she then sat down on a char catching her breath. Kaleo welcomed the girl in and quickly caught her up on what was going on. " Geeze... Yeah Taylor we will prove you did not kill that person!" Amara said determinedly
