Toren didn't know what the heck he thought he was doing here. He'd wandered into this place about an hour ago, on random chance, not really knowing what he wanted. Perhaps he was tired of being alone, perhaps he just wanted to people watch. Whatever the reason had been, it clearly alluded him now as he sat in the lounge chairs of the place, away from the dance floor.
The noirette took another slow sip of the drink he'd bought, watching the people on the dance floor as they moved. He picked out the couples, the friends, those that needed to DTR before the night got any more awkward (and my, were there plenty of those!). He liked watching them, but only watching. To participate in their world wasn't something that Iseya Toren was interested in.
That world was one of debauchery, loose morals, shaking ground, anger, and hostility. Some people were dancing as though it would be the last night of their lives...because it probably was. Either by his organization's hand or their own stupidity, they were bound to kick the bucket to something. Immersing oneself in this tomfoolery only led you there faster.
By any means, Toren was going to evade death. He was going to make sure that he did. His life would be perfectly calculated to the last thousandth. There would be no deviating from the plan; he would be successful, live life, and hopefully end his life quietly, away from anything and anyone that could throw off what his life was supposed to be. He didn't want anyone. He didn't need anyone.
So why, then...why was he so lonely?

There is no certain reason as to why Tsubasa wandered into this place. He'd just been passing by the building, but the sound of voices and music mixing together inside the place intrigued him, drawing him in almost as though he were in an enchantment. Tsubasa loves being around people, especially new people. Maybe that was the reason he came here. However, he also loves making a fool of himself by dancing to altering beats from songs in front of everyone. He could've also just wanted to be in an adult atmosphere and get a drink or something.
Either way, he stands in the doorway, looking out over the darkened dance floor that's only lit by the flashing, dazzling lights while people trample all over it, most of them actually stumbling rather. The heavy smell of smoke and alcohol hits his nose, making him cringe a bit at the sudden smell. Although, he quickly gets over the existence of the smoke and finds his way toward the alcohol's scent. He hasn't drank in a while. Tsubasa happens to be the very friendly drunk that becomes even more trustworthy than his sober self, which has actually gotten him into trouble a few times. However, even if someone were to beat him near death, he'd never die...he physically can't. With hundreds of years of experiencing alcohol under his belt, though, he can usually take on about three before he begins to feel even relatively tipsy, so he decides that tonight will just be light drinking for fun.
Seating himself at the bar, he smiles at the bartender and asks for a fruity drink of any kind then watches the bartender nod and move off to start on his drink. Taking this moment, he glances around the place, smiling and giggling a bit at the people dancing their hearts out while spilling their drinks on them from the occasional stumble or hard dance move. The clacking of glass hitting the bar table sounds in his ears, drawing his attention back to it.
"Thank you," he says to the bartender, earning a short nod and a small grin in reply. The other moves to clean some of the glasses, taking his attention away from Tsubasa. Still keeping a small grin on his lips, Tsubasa takes a sip of his drink and places it back down, running his index finger along the rim of the glass. He stares at it thoughtfully, allowing his thoughts to drift off. Places like this are more fun to go to with other people in his opinion. But, no one is there and it's just him tonight, so he decides that he should just enjoy his uncommon moment of solitude while picking the drink up and gulping the rest of it down. He places it back down on the bar table in front of him again and slides it back toward the bartender, requesting for another one in a different flavor.

Toren didn't know when he noticed the boy; he only remembered that as soon as his eyes found the silky blonde hair, and the pretty smile, he found that he couldn't pull his gaze away. Something about this boy intrigued him - and that was dangerous.
Relationships were another one of Toren's taboos. He didn't like to go into them. They were too unpredictable. The few times that he had been in a relationship, it had never gone anywhere. He had never even kissed another before; usually after a few days of not knowing what was going to happen, worrying about the future, and whether or not he was good enough to keep them entertained, the noirette ended it. He felt that he wasn't meant for a relationship. After all, nothing had ever gone right. Why would he entertain the notion that starting something new would actually last?
Romantic relationships weren't the only ones that Toren found horrifying: friendships were another. The only relationship that he found he could handle was that of a family tie. As long as he was kin to someone (close kin, anway), they wouldn't betray him. They would be stuck with him for his entire life; why would they? In his mother's case, she was bound to love him because she had given birth to him - that was just how things went...or so he thought. But anything other than blood? No. It would slip right through his fingers, like sand, or water.
But...even though... his gaze still wouldn't return from that boy. He found himself watching the way that he tossed back his drink, quickly, before asking for another. The drink was bright, probably some kind of fruity thing that tasted like sugar instead of the bitter taste of the alcohol. Toren never really wanted to drink anything like that - it seemed like nothing but pure sugar, and he definitely wanted to stay away from that. It wouldn't help his plan to live as long as possible if he was poisoning his body with harmful substances.
Then again...he was being quite the hypocrite, drinking as often as he did.
Before Toren knew what he was doing, he found himself walking over to the bar, to the boy, as though his feet were disconnected from his mind. Maybe it was the alcohol or the party controlling him, but he knew that he just had to at least sit next to this person if he did nothing else. Perhaps he would find a moment of polite enjoyment, or nice company...or so he tried to tell himself. But, the only thing that Toren's terrified mind could process was that he was insane. Absolutely insane.
Yet...that didn't stop him from sliding into a seat beside the boy at the bar, and asking the bartender in a soft voice for his same, boring drink...one that didn't reflect the lights and the dancing colors nearly as well as the beautiful blonde's did.

Tsubasa smiles at the bartender again when another drink is slid to him, this time flaunting a pink liquid that he guessed to be strawberry or cherry flavored. He lifts it up to his lips and starts to sip it until he feels a sudden presence beside him, drawing his attention away and to it in question. The seat beside him is now filled with a new male, one who's black hair reflects the varying lights almost perfectly but not reflecting them off like the floor did. Even though it was the hair that caught his attention first, once his eyes wandered down to his face, the blonde nearly falls out of his chair at the male.
He is beautiful. The male's gorgeous red eyes nearly melt him at just the sight and his face is just amazingly put together. Tsubasa doesn't know what it is, but something about this other male just draws him in. Perhaps he's already a little tipsy off the little alcohol he drank? Either way, something seems intoxicatingly magnetic about the other. The words stumble out of his mouth faster than he can realize he's moved his lips.
"Hello there~ Seems like a nice atmosphere in here, doesn't it?~" he greets the other with a big smile and the tilt of his head, but mentally wanting to strangle himself for saying something that sounds so incredibly stupid. Maybe the alcohol really is getting to me...

Toren hadn't planned this far, unfortunately. Strange, for a man who planned his whole life...but he couldn't really think anyway. His head was buzzing with a pleasant sensation, and all he could think about were those beautiful, ice blue eyes. Though he knew that he'd probably never see this man again, he felt drawn to him somehow...as though he were supposed to find him tonight. If Toren was a person who believed in destiny, then he probably would have thought that. However, right now he was just thinking that he was lucky. Lucky to be sitting next to this beautiful boy, and to be...
Shoot. I haven't said anything yet. Toren swallowed, trying to think of some intelligent conversation to say back. Usually, he was very eloquent - he could talk up the mayor himself if he wanted. He had been told as a boy that words were the key to everything. If you could say the right things, everything would go well. And thus far, Toren had stuck to that logic.
But now...he didn't know what to say. For the first time in his life, he couldn't think of anything that would sound appropriate to say to this boy. He couldn't think of the perfect way to bend this conversation to his will. So he simply stuttered out a reply, mentally wincing at its blandness.
"If you like parties and that sort of thing. I like somewhere more quiet, but the drinks here are great."
Knowing that he probably sounded like a drunk, Toren proceeded to take a drink of his beverage, wishing that he could just have the floor open up and swallow him.

Tsubasa feels himself start to get lost in the other's eyes again, almost feeling as though he'll fall into them at any moment. He gazes deeply, feeling himself growing closer and about to lose his footing until the other's words snap him back into reality.
"If you like parties and that sort of thing. I like somewhere more quiet, but the drinks here are great."
He chuckles at his words softly, offering up another bright grin. "I would be lying if I said I didn't like parties at all~ But I haven't been to one in a long time," he shrugs a bit, smile never leaving his lips. "However, I do agree with you on the drinks~ They're quite delicious here. Even though this is my first time walking in here," he giggles sheepishly, rubbing the back of his head.
After regaining himself a bit, he allows his eyes to settle back on his face and his expression falls back into a soft grin. "However, I was just thinking that drinking always feels and tastes better when done with another person~" he explains, holding up his glass to him, hoping he gets the message that he wants to clack them together as some strange ritual to make this a group outing. Even if the other didn't do anything, however, just talking to him would be enough for him. It's nice to talk with someone every once in a while, so long as he doesn't get any closer than needed.

Toren remained as he was, allowing a small smile to grace his lips. After all, he knew that he was staring...but it didn't matter, because the boy before him was staring back. That meant that if he instigated any romantic action, the boy would most likely reciprocate it. Then they would stagger over to some dimly lit corner and...well, and do what people usually did in those places. Then Toren would walk away, and never see his beautiful face again.
"I must really be drunk tonight...I'm acting like a girl." The noirette thought, closing his eyes and taking a long sip of his drink when the boy spoke next. He suspected that this male had had more than his share of drinks as well, from the way that he was acting, but Toren wasn't going to take advantage of him or anything, even if he clearly was the more sober one. He just sighed to himself, hoping that he wouldn't get too intoxicated to retain his judgement. The last thing he needed was some attachment to a stranger that he couldn't shake.
Toren fought to keep the blush off of his face at the boy's giggle. He was too cute - it was about to kill the tall male. He didn't know how he was going to pull of his usual 'calm and cool' appearance. In front of this guy, it seemed almost impossible.
Almost.
"Maybe the parties would be more fun if I had someone to go with." Toren said suggestively, shrugging his shoulders. "Perhaps you would even make going to a place like this worth more than just the drinks."
Geez, he was laying it on thick. He knew that he was. But Toren couldn't stop. The drinks, the atmosphere, the hypnotic way that this boy's eyes were pulling him in...it was all too much. He felt as though he was falling terrifyingly fast, but he couldn't bring himself to leave or try to sober himself up. The escape just felt too good.

Just watching the other male's movements mystifies him. Every movement he makes seems delicate, yet strong and confident somehow. Tsubasa almost thinks of it as somewhat sophisticated. No matter what, he just can't take his eyes away from the other. It's almost as though there's already a bond that is forming between them just by meeting each other. He feels a certain draw, as though just meeting him has placed his fate onto another path entirely. However, all of that is subconscious and honestly just goes right over his head. Instead, he thinks of it more as just an enjoyable time that he more than likely won't be forgetting anytime soon.
"Maybe the parties would be more fun if I had someone to go with." "Perhaps you would even make going to a place like this worth more than just the drinks."
Tsubasa just stares at the other initially, but then breaks out into light laughter at his words. Once he recovers himself, he allows a kind smile to line his lips again.
"You're quite the charmer aren't you?~ Although, it's rather admirable of you," he gives him a short wink before taking another sip of his drink. "However, I do agree that going to a party with someone would most certainly cure your lack of fun. Having someone with you is always much more fun almost everywhere." he tells him with eyes closed in happiness, then turns his attention toward the dance floor full of people still enjoying themselves. He runs his fingers along the rim of his drink in his other hand again while observing them. "It's always nice to have someone by your side though. Having a companion always there really takes away that bite from solitude and loneliness. Even if that companion is only a temporary one, it always feels nice to know that there's someone there for you to fill in that emptiness," he speaks, eyes seeming to go a bit distant while he says those words. A smile remains laced along his lips while he watches the people dancing with other people they obviously came with, but there almost seems to be a bit of bitterness his eyes toward them. Oh how he desires that type of luxury so much without having to suffer any consequences for it.

"You're quite the charmer aren't you?~ Although, it's rather admirable of you,"
Toren smirked, raising an eyebrow. Charming? Admirable? He'd never really thought so. He'd just always been able to tell people what they wanted to hear. In this case, it was working extraordinarily well. It made him smile a little more suggestively, and put a smolder in his eye. He didn't know what he wanted...if it was the alcohol, the lights, or just this boy... but it was kind of scaring him.
Toren had never felt this way before. It made him want to throw up, to shout for joy, and to hold the other boy's hand all at the same time. But mostly, he just felt like going home and sleeping this off.
"Admirable? I wouldn't call it that, but thank you." Toren smiled again, winking at him a little. It seemed to make him talk more, which was exactly what the noirette wanted.
"However, I do agree that going to a party with someone would most certainly cure your lack of fun. Having someone with you is always much more fun almost everywhere."
Toren looked at the boy when he said that, wondering if this was his way of giving some sort of an invitation. Whatever the case, the raven decided to take it; perhaps this was his only chance to get out of his shell and have some fun. If he didn't take it, he might never. After all, with his association, there wasn't ever a guarantee that he was safe. Toren didn't want to die without someone. He was sick and tired of being lonely, but too afraid to let someone into his life permanently. Maybe this would be the solution to this dilemma.
"It's always nice to have someone by your side though. Having a companion always there really takes away that bite from solitude and loneliness. Even if that companion is only a temporary one, it always feels nice to know that there's someone there for you to fill in that emptiness,"
Before Toren knew what he was doing, his lips were opening, and words were spilling out. "Why don't we stick together, then?" He asked, not realizing what he had just said until the words were out of his mouth. "The night is young, and I'm bored and looking for company. You seem just the person to be what I need."
Whether this was spurred on by the bitter loneliness in the boy's eyes, or something in his own heart, Toren didn't know. All he did know, was at that moment, he extended his hand and gave the other a small smile.
"I'm Iseya, by the way. Iseya Toren."

He notices the small smirk on the other's lips and it sends a spark through his chest. Tsubasa never thought that someone's smirk would cause him to feel so light on his feet. However, he quickly equates it to the alcohol and begins wondering if he should stop drinking it.
"Admirable? I wouldn't call it that, but thank you."
Tsubasa giggles and tilts his head to the side a bit. "Of course~ I think it's sweet of you to be so polite and kind~" he tells him softly, voice almost mixing in too much with the music with how sweet it is. The smile the other flashes at him melts him and his winks makes a certain joy crackle in his chest again. He drops his grin for a second in surprise only to smile brighter at him. Something about the other male is pulling him in fast, making him want to throw on the breaks and stop himself from being drawn in any quicker. But his inhibitions seem to feel weakened to him for some reason, and instead he finds himself wanting to get closer to the other as well.
"Why don't we stick together, then?" "The night is young, and I'm bored and looking for company. You seem just the person to be what I need."
His words draw the male's attention back to him, allowing him to gaze at him a few seconds before the words sink in to his thought processes. A knowing grin slips onto his face and he cocks an eyebrow at him. "That depends on what type of person you're needing me for. Depending on your answer, I may or may not stick around," he winks at the other again, grinning happily with a small hum. Even though Tsubasa recognizes himself as a rather childish person, he isn't completely ignorant to the adult world and the adult language that people throw around. He isn't sure what this male is asking for, but even so, he wants to stick around with him for some reason. Even if his answer seems rather grotesque or whatnot, he feels that he'll probably end up wanting to hang with anyway. He's been with worse, right? Besides, something about this male feels...almost alright to put trust in.
A hand being slipped in front of his face knocks him out of his thoughts and to it.
"I'm Iseya, by the way. Iseya Toren."
Tsubasa blinks again as an immediate reaction, then smiles at the other, reaching his own hand out to grasp onto his. "Toren-san, right~ Can I call you that? I'm Kyoko Tsubasa in Japan, but Tsubasa Kyoko over here in Jump City," he tells him, another light giggle rising into the already smoky air around them.
