A flick of a lighter, sparks flying from it as a flame danced into reality from the hole in the top that allowed it to escape. Smoke waved as a cigarette was lit, a man puffing from the end of it, blowing the air into the sky as it gradually dispersed. Blaine looked at them, sitting across from the table, despising the scent that left the stick of a dried plant and thin paper. He was offered one, and the snowy haired man took it in good manners, and lit the cigarette to be on their good side. He needed to look like one of them, and thus far he has succeeded. He needed to be especially careful tonight. This night, was the night the shipment of faulty merchandise came in. The night he would make certain he would be making the correct arrest.
"When is this ship supposed to be arriving?" A rather muscular man to his left spoke up as he threw in a card, and picking one up. His expression didn't change, a poker face. How fitting for a Poker game. He glanced at him, and got a sneer in reply. He looked back at his cards. He had a Royal Flush, but he wasn't going to lay them out. Newbies shouldn't win.
"Patience Bull. You can't rush these things, it takes time. Precious merchandise you know.." Said the man two men to his right. He never even looked up from his cards and passed on his turn. He was thinner than the man to his left, but had longer hair and was a rather tall male. The worker to his left glanced up at the one who answered and narrowed his eyes.
"Yeah, handbags, so precious.." He rolled his dark eyes. His nickname being Bull for his rash behavior and bad temper. One Blaine would need to keep an eye out for, though he can tell he was more brawn and less brains.
"They are. Many ladies out there waiting for these, we can't disappoint the pretty women." He chimed with a smile that Blaine wanted to punch right off his face. He hated it when people disrespected women.
"Enough you two. We have company." Said the Leader, whom sat right across from Blaine. His icy eyes looked up at him as he placed down his cards. He looked at the cigarette he had within his mouth, which was almost gone. He hated smoking, and had ended up forgetting it was there. He didn't even puff it once, it just sat there between his lips. He pulled it out and pressed it against the table, putting it out as he stood. He was the second one to walk out the door, after the leader of course.
"Whoa, Snow White!" That was Blaine's nickname, and it made him twitch. He glanced back. "You just won the game! These bets are yours!" He said as he picked it up.
"Keep it." Blaine said shortly as he continued out the door.

The reflection of a young male with glasses shining from the moonlight stares boredly at Chiasa while he leans over the ocean's water. The expression on the other's face somewhat annoys the male, so he decides to turn away from it and continue on his original path. Chiasa began to pace along the shoreline again, silently enjoying the breeze brushing against his face the more he walks. It wasn't the best night that he's ever experienced, but it was nice enough to really enjoy it. Besides, it was a cool and clear night, so the soft moonlight glowed against his chilled skin, bringing small delight to him. It almost made him feel heavenly in a way.
The ocean isn't usually a place that would draw the male in. There's nothing attractive about the beach in the daylight. Too many gross people show up and flaunt their bodies that they obviously shouldn't have the confidence to flaunt. The sand is an awfully ugly, yellow color that makes him cringe and the way the sun's ray reflect off the water into his eyes irks him too much. To be honest, things that are hotter than him frankly annoy him, whether he wants to say it or not. The water would be so much more beautiful if everyone hadn't kept throwing their trash and crap into it. In the night, however, the ocean is darkened and the blackness covers all those flaws. The moon reflects and more crisp and pleasing color along the darkened tips of every wave and there's no harsh light reflecting into his eyes. The sand gave off a darker, more deep brown that seemed more earthy and welcoming (plus it wasn't as hot at night). Most of all, the only people who show up at night are those who shouldn't have any business being there. Those people tend to be quite attractive in Chiasa's eyes.
It's for that reason that he's here. He had heard earlier while sauntering through town from some people talking about gorgeous people out by the ocean. He'd be lying if he said he didn't want to get a peek (and maybe play around with a few of them for a bit), but a beautiful person often describes his brother. So, why not take a chance and go see if he was really there as well. By the time he had convinced himself to go to the beach, the sun had already set and most of the people had gone home for the night. Nevertheless, he still decided to comb the area for chance.
A sigh erupts from his mouth, floating into the air and slowly dissolving into one with it. He's been searching ever since he got here. There's probably not much left of the shoreline. Before long, he'll have scanned the whole area without a trace of anything. A heaviness settles over him at that realization, but still he decides to press on in just the small hopes that he has. There's a knocking in the back of his mind telling him it's useless to keep going, though, and it slows him down to an eventual halt.
He just stands there, unmoving and uncertainty filling his eyes. There is no reason to keep moving tonight. Besides, he can practically see the other side of the shoreline even though it's somewhat dim and blurry; there's no one there. Another sigh, but heavier, floats into the air around him and he shifts his eyes to the side to notice a dock. It is just about as abandoned as everything else on this beach, but it didn't really bother him too much. In fact, it attracted him more than anything. He's drawn over slowly, the neglected feel making him feel as though he understood the feelings of it's worn out wood.
Peering over into the water again when reaching the end of it, there's a small grin that curves along his lips, although it's empty of anything. "I suppose a little dip in the water would be nice. It's not like there's much else that I can really call worth doing here. Besides, people are attracted to mermaids, right? Perhaps they'll see me and become enchanted. Then I can just have some fun for a bit. That seems like all the rest of the night's worth anyway." He chuckles lightly to himself and just sits down on the edge, staring into the bottomless depths of the water. Not doing anything sounds almost as attractive to him though. Not finding Shiro again sort of puts a damper on his mood, even though it has no reason to. He's used to not finding him by now. Green irises, looking almost brown in the darkness, peer back into his again while he stares at the water debating whether or not to jump in.

"Oooii, there's someone at the tip of the dock." Said one of the more, huskier men that trailed along with them. Blaine's icy eyes glanced off to the side, free of emotion and yet annoyance chewing him out on the inside. It reminded him more of a child screaming about a squirrel he sees from across the street. Which would explain why he was more of one to use his brawn. He had less intelligence than Bull, surprisingly enough.
"..No, I thought it was a Siren you soft-headed buffoon!" A harsh whisper echoed around them from one that reminded him of a snake, the last one of their little group. He reminded him more of snake than anything... Eh. He shook his head. The mystery man was too far up ahead of them to be of any concern anyway. He would be lucky to be even in earshot at this point.
"Silence." Said the leader with a calm yet forceful tone. He stared at the one sitting at the edge, looking as if he was trying to decide something. "Too small to be of any threat to us, and there's no way the Police know anything about this. We're safe." It was then that the boat they were waiting for arrived, as it made it's loud honking noise. the leader smiled as they dropped anchor and lowered the ramp. Three came off deck, two men and one woman. A broad smile curled up on his commander's lips as he approached them, spreading his arms wide and embracing the woman. She must have been their leader.
"Jeff sweetie, it's been far too long." She purred at him as they let go of their little hug. "Far too long my dear. We should do business more." Too bad for them however. She cocked an eyebrow. "Call me more." He chuckled. "Well played.. Anyway, is this the material?" He asked as boxes began to be unloaded. "What else would it be darling? You ordered approximately five hundred handbags, no?" She looked at a clipboard. Gee how official. He nodded, and it was then that the lights began to flash. Blue and red. He stood motionless as the rest had their eyes widen in shock.
"Jeff what is this!? I thought you said-"
"I know what I said, I don't know how they got this information! Unless one of your morons leaked it out somehow!!" He barked as he glared at the little group, Bull, the snake, the idiot and the one that called him Snow White. And himself of course. They all quickly shook their heads. Blaine pulled out his official Police Badge, one that was more common than his necklace.
"Jump City Police. You're all under arrest for the production and circulation of faulty merchandise." He spoke with an utterly calm voice, but strong and authoritative. He walked over to Jeff, as the other Police came and began to spread out to the others. As he roughly placed Jeff's hands behind his back and slammed cuffs tightly on his wrist, he began to speak loud for them all to hear, "You all have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney and have him present as you are being questioned. If you cannot afford one, one will be appointed to you to represent you if that is what you wish. You have the right to exercise these rights at any time and not have to make any statements or answer any questions. Do you understand these rights as they have been told to you?".
At the end of him speaking the rights, he shoved them into the Police car as Jeff and the woman sneered at him. "Doesn't matter if you answer to my question or not, your rights have been read to you. See you at the station." He slammed the door closed, and was patted on the back by his superior. Blaine barely acknowledged the praise as he walked back to the dock to check the crates, the Police heading off in the distance behind him.

The sound of distant footsteps managed to tap into his ear, drawing his attention back to the source. A group of males stood across from him to where he couldn't see them too well in the dark. Perhaps these are the people that I said shouldn't be here at night?~ Either way, they didn't seem interested in him too much other than staring, so he decided it wasn't really worth his time to get too involved. Besides, he was already drowning in his depression. He just wanted to feel bad for himself a little bit longer. (xD) Still, it interested him enough to keep an eye on them.
The sound of a boat creaking past him draws his eyes to it's slowly moving mass that comes to a stop at the dock. He sits a little behind the opening of the boat, so nobody really notices him as they board off. A smirk lines his lips at his fortune, growing even more when seeing the lady walk off with two guys beside her. She wasn't the best thing he's ever seen, but it was definitely nice to watch her from behind. Maybe he could talk her into playing with him tonight if he got the chance. He watches them greet up with the others at the dock, gradually beginning to grow bored of nothing happening. The sound of feet clacking along the boards of the boat is sort of lulling to him and almost drains his energy a bit, so he allows his gaze to shift back into the cool, shifting water.
The darkness of the water that drifts around his vision with the occasional highlight from the moon relaxes him, drawing him away from the world around him and back to his thoughts. This time, however, the memories of his brother when they were both happy together. It's a nice place he finds himself in, but the sharp light change of red and blue fill his vision instead, sending him flying violently back to the present.
Chiasa snaps his head around to see a ton of flashing lights and the very same people he had been observing earlier being shoved into police cars. It interests him to see the sudden change in the atmosphere around him and it brings another smirk to his lips.
"Coppers, huh?? So, they weren't supposed to be here after all~ Then again, I'm not really either, now am I?" He chuckles lightly to himself, swiveling his body around to watch the action more comfortably. "I wonder what could get the cops all riled up? Then again, in a city like this, they probably have to find anything to keep them busy." Watching for a little while longer, he sighs softly when the cars pull away with the criminals inside. My fun's ruined for the night...
Pursing his lips, he's about ready to push himself off the deck and be on his way until he notices a shadowed figure start to saunter his way and check through the crates the ones on the boat left behind. He tilts his head in interest, wondering if he could tease him a bit and lead him on some chase for a bit. A giggle slips past his lips at the thought of the amusement and he pushes himself up, but halts in his trail when the moonlight slides lightly over the male in front of him.
The closer he got to him, the more he could see and just in that moment, he had gotten close enough for his person to be revealed. The moonlight shimmered along the hair cascading down his back that appeared silver in the dark, chasing the darkness away from it every time he moved his body ever so slightly. He wasn't large at all, in fact, he almost appeared somewhat feminine to Chiasa. Even when he got a short glimpse of the other's eyes when he lifted up enough for the light to reach them, the shine that highlighted the almost piercingly beautiful blue of his eyes was enough to nearly knock Chiasa over. He appeared to have a pale, yet milky skin tone that appeared nearly perfect in the distance he is away from him. Had the male's eye and hair color been different, he would've have thought it were Shiro, the brother that he's been looking for.
Even so, he never could've imagined running in to such a beautiful creature that could come close to comparing with Shiro. Hell, this male outdoes almost every female in this city if not all of them. It's been a while since he's run in to such a person as this. There was a certain magnetism there that drew him in. He wants to know more about this angelic beauty in front of him. It's then that his feet begin to move without him thinking about it, moving him closer to the other in front of him still going through crates.

Blaine huffed a bit as he struggled to open the wooden crate. The crowbar given was rusted and stained his hands with a dull red-orange color. He sighed at the sight and was not pleased with getting filthy. Ah well, not much he could do about it. He had been dirtier. Not that he minded dirt, he just, he didn't know exactly. Just felt annoyed with it. Maybe because he was just annoyed in general. He had a relatively short temper.
"Don't they ever clean their tools? Honestly.." Gritting his teeth slightly, he finally got the wooden lid off and sent it tumbling down into the water. Narrowing his eyes, he cursed underneath his breath. Walking over to it, he allowed himself to drop to his knees. Blaine then leaned forward, his fingertips dipping into the darkened waters. It was cool to the touch, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a hard feelings for him to describe, but it exhilarated him, and made him feel excited. He sat there motionless as he stared at the rippling water, only the light of the moon reflecting back into his orbs. Finally, he blinked, breaking him of his trance. Curling his fingers up, he gripped the lid and leaned back up, bringing it with him.
Blaine stood up and wandered back on over to the empty, lonely box that stood there patiently, as if waiting for him to return. It wasn't far from where he was at all, just a few steps. He placed the square, thin block of wood against the side and peered inside, his hands being placed on the side as he balanced on it. All kinds of bags, in all colors, shapes and material. There was leather, cloth, jean, velvet, silk, red, orange, blue, purple, black, white, yellow, green, square, round, oval, heart and just such a large variety he couldn't even name it all. They came in all sizes too, it made him hat kind of company they were even ripping off of. Lifting his left hand, he reached inside and grabbed a pink silk, oval handbag. He looked it over. It seemed harmless, but as he turned it upside down, he felt something inside shift.
One blink, two blink, and then he flipped it back over so the zipper was facing him. Blaine narrowed his eyes once more as he placed the small silver rectangle in his finger tips and pulled it down. Puling it apart, there was ball of plastic wrap with white powder in the middle. Lifting it, he carefully brought it closer and sniffed it, jerking his head back as he coughed. Coke. Quickly waving his eyebrows up and then down, he placed it to the side, back in the bag of course. Doing a double deal hidden in one, how creative, for criminals. It was safe to assume most, if not all, had drugs hidden in them. He dug through them and grabbed one from the bottom, and pulled up. Blaine blinked, and furrowed his brows down as he turned it to the side. There was a gaping hole in it.
Blaine stuck his hand inside, seeing as how it was big enough for it to fit. Something moved.. He would be lying if he said he didn't feel a surge of adrenaline run through him. He and random moving objects didn't get along. For a moment, he forgot about his ability about being able to speak to literally everything, and took whatever it was in his hand. It was thick, kind of cold to the touch, and had slimey feeling scales. Pulling it out, he was met with a snake jumping at him, hissing loudly with it's jaws wide open. He swung his head back and basically dropping the snake as he stumbled back. "Shit..!" He yelped as his heel fell over the side, his balance going with it as he fell into the water with a loud splash, not noticing the man approaching as the snake just slithered away off the dock, and Blaine under the water.

Chiasa steps forward a little more, able to see more of the male in front of him. He doesn't seem to notice the other's presence, however, so it stops him in his tracks to just watch him for a while. The way he moves in every slight move catches his eye. It's almost admirable how every movement flows together so well. Although, the extent at which he's watching him would be considered nothing short of a stalker to anybody else, but it's just the way he analyzes people -and this guy was worth analyzing so closely in his opinion.
It is interesting to watch the male in his inspection and Chiasa finds himself wondering what it is that has the other's attention so greatly. He almost allows his curiosity to get the best of him and make him go closer, but is thwarted in his attempts when the male raises up holding a snake in his hands. He watches him flip out and throw the snake away, stumbling backward and into the darkened waters. The snake slithers out of his view, becoming the last of his worries when his feet work before his mind can keep up with them.
Seeing the male fall into the water sent something through him that he hasn't felt in a long time. Chiasa isn't really one to save people from anything. He's never been one to care about other's lives that he doesn't have any connection to. However, this instance that just played in front him reminded him too intensely of his brother and every time he was in trouble. He felt the urge to save this male immediately.
Water crashed around his ears the instant he dove in and broke through the surface. His glasses press harshly against his nose, but thankfully don't slip off of his face since he's swimming straight in the direction he entered. It's hard to see the male in the dark waters that are only murkier due to everything in it, but the outline of him is enough for him to find his arm. He snatches his hand out and grabs the other's arm, pulling him into his hold so he can pull him with his arm around him.
They break the surface again when Chiasa pulls them both up. Panting mildly, he swims them back over to the shoreline since the dock was too high up for him to pull them both up without losing hold on the other. Once he reaches the wet, grainy sand, he finally allows the other's body to rest, looking him over to make sure he's okay. "Hey, you alright??"

Darkness was all the filled his view as he allowed himself to sink further into the unforgiving sea. He sighed, watching the air bubbles float to the top. Blaine knew he needed to surface, but also knew at this time he was in no immediate danger. He could swim quite well actually, he was just annoyed he had let that serpent catch him off guard. He should have heard its thoughts beforehand. Blaine had never felt so silly within his mind.
Another dull splash sounded within his ears, and it made him look up. There was a faint silhouette within the water. It was a little late to be going for a swim, isn't it? Ah, not that he was one to talk. Yet if one was to be out, others might, and that would mean he needed to go and protect the counterfeit merchandise so he doesn't spread drugs and fake handbags.
Blaine's hand being grabbed made his eyes widen a bit with surprise. Someone, was trying to save him..? They thought he was drowning? He had barely been under for about thirty seconds.. Or had it been longer? He had lost track of time. Yet he felt fine..
Before he could truly react, he was being pulled up to the surface, his arms placed around the stranger hero that was lifting him. By normal reaction he coughed as they came out of the water. It wasn't long before he felt sand sticking to him as they scooted along the shore. He panted and looked over to see a very thin, almost woman-like man with blonde hair and glasses sitting beside him.
"Hey, you alright??"
Blaine sat up, his legs pointed up in a ninety degree angle. "Yeah, I'm fine.. Thanks.." He murmured to the stranger as he turned his head away from him so he couldn't see the humiliation in his eyes, very faintly could it be seen by those that don't know him well, or for one that was skilled in reading emotions. To be saved.. How embarrassing.. he shouldn't need a rescue.

Chiasa watched the other male try to recover after coughing. He watches with concerned eyes, ready for any sudden action he'd need to do to help him. Eventually, the other's eyes shift over to his, a piercing feeling slicing into his eyes when blue orbs meet green ones. It isn't particularly uncomfortable, however. in fact, it's almost a pleasant sharpness that he wasn't expecting. Such eyes are ones who belong to someone who is strong.
He watches him situate himself again, legs partly bent while he recovers.
"Yeah, I'm fine.. Thanks.."
Chiasa is nearly knocked over by the thickness of his voice. It's gorgeous!! His voice isn't one that's really high pitched, but rather it's a deep, silky voice that melts into him. Things seem to just be getting better and better with each passing second. But beside that, Chiasa really is concerned about his well being.
"Good. It concerned me to see you fall in like that. You're more than welcome, stranger~" Chiasa smiles at him, offering a short wink at the end. This male is absolutely beautiful and almost seems like he would come from one of Chiasa's dreams. Since he's okay now, Chiasa's interested in getting to know more about this rare beauty.
"What's your name, stranger?~"

When the male beside him nearly fell over, he furrowed his brows in question, then cocking one up as he looked at him. What was his deal? Nothing touched him. Or did he just have really bad balance issues? He was strange alright.. e didn't need to get to know him all that well to figure that out.
When he spoke once more, Blaine merely rolled his eyes. Stranger, really? And what was with the wink? Was he hitting on him? That's a terrible way to flit with somebody. Sure was awfully straightforward though wasn't he? He was obviously fine, he could leave at any time now, wouldn't bother him. Did he do it? No, no he didn't, instead he asked him what his name was, again with the mentioning of being a stranger. He glanced to the side, debating silently whether or not he should tell him his name. On one hand, what was the harm of him telling him his name? Unless of course he was undercover and this frilly guy came along saying his name and then they would know him by something else and would wonder why he was lying and then of course give away the whole thing and most likely be killed in turn. Well, that was supposed to be the positive side. The negative side was, if he didn't tell him his name he could tag along and bother him for the rest of the night, annoying the living hell out of him and may end up doing something against the rules and lose his job. Wasn't he just the positive person?
He grit his teeth a bit and sighed. "Blaine." Well, it had to be better than being called 'stranger' for the next who knows how long, right?

Watching the male across from him, Chiasa blinks at his unresponsiveness. He can tell in his eyes that he seems to be going through some heavy decisions on whether or not to talk. Honestly, Chiasa didn't think that giving a name over was supposed to be that big of a struggle. Unless, he hardcore believes that names can give someone the power of your fate and existence. Although, you have to know someone's birthday for that to really be effective anyway. Besides, names are only the tip of knowing anyone. It gives you enough power to know someone and become an influence in their lives, but it's not enough to establish anything deep -unless the name given is an alias and one's true name is told later. To him, that's the same relationship that's held with all the basic questions. That's fine, though. Chiasa isn't interested in getting to close to anybody, even if he's so freaking gorgeous and in front of him.
Eventually, Chiasa does notice the other's soft lips begin to move for a reply.
"Blaine"
Green eyes stare into ice blue while the name rolls around in Chiasa's head and slowly absorbs itself into his memory, the sweet sound of his voice melting with it. He closes his eyes unconsciously and repeats the name in a soft murmur, grinning softly at it's sound. It wasn't necessarily a common name, but nonetheless, it seems to fit this male in the strangest of ways. Beautiful...
The grin grows on his lips and he tilts his head to the side, a short hum buzzing over his lips as well. Even if he didn't meet any mermaids tonight, this one seems like just as good as a catch. For the first time in a long time, however, he didn't want to lure him off for a night of fun. Something about him just intrigues him and he wants to know more. Perhaps it's because he reminds him of his lost brother, whether subconsciously or not. Either way, even if the night ended up with them tangling themselves in some sheets in some overly priced hotel, he doesn't think he'd mind too much.
Right now, however, questions begin racing around in his mind hastily for this male in desires of knowing him better. Chiasa just doesn't know what to chose from, so he sits there smiling at him while trying to come to a consensus.
