Name: Ezekiel 'The Stormblessed', and Sylphrena 'Syl'
Age: unknown
Race: Human
Powers: Gravity Manipulation: Ezekiel has the ability to place 'lashings' as he calls them. Lashings changes the way gravity affects an object. For example, Ezekiel lashes a box to the wall, so until that lashing runs out, the wall is now, for all intents and purposes, the floor for that box. It will 'fall' sideways into the wall, and if it could move, it would move along the wall. Ezekiel can also use half-lashings as well as multiple lashings. A half lashing would work as a way to slow a fall, where as multiple lashings would work to make things go faster, or to have two opposing lashings, creating a environment where there is no downward direction, leaving an object stranded in the air.
Weakness: Lashings only work on Ezekiel and inanimate objects. It does not work on people. The lashings do not last long without constant reapplication, they last somewhere around ten minutes if left unattended. Also, Ezekiel has to touch an object if he is to apply a lashing, so unless he can get near, say, an enemy's gun, he can't just disarm them.
Enhanced spearmanship: Ezekiel fights like a man possessed. Every movement with a spear is fluid, and masterful. He gained this prowess though constant training, and, though he is rather impressive already, he does not stop, he merely tries harder to improve.
Weakness: While he may be magnificent at it, he uses regular old spears. Nothing magical, nothing important. As such, he is very much vulnerable to the inherent weakness of the weapon, in that range is key. If an enemy gets too close, he is forced to fight using other means. Though he is competent at even close quarters combat, he is nowhere near as good at it as he is with a spear at range.
Syl: In a fight, she is only a second pair of eyes. She can make things stick to other things, like a wallet to a pair of pants, but she can't pick up anything heavier than a leaf.
Date of birth: Unknown, records long since forgotten
Home: Jump City
Alliance: None.
Relationship: Everyone he has known prior to arriving in Jump City is either dead, or he hasn't seen for long enough that they might as well be dead

Personality: Ezekiel is, by his own admission, broken. He is so focused on exacting revenge on those who have betrayed him, that he loses sight of what is important. He has trouble trusting anyone with the slightest amount of authority, and only Syl can break that distrust a little. Among those of his station, however, he is excessively protective. If he feels that he needs to, he will stay up until the sun comes up protecting a friend, despite the fact that there could be no danger.
Syl, on the other hand, is energetic, cheerful, and prone to practical jokes. Even so, she doesn't like to show herself to many besides Ezekiel. She seems more willing to trust than Ezekiel, though it is very true that she is a much better judge of character. She is also driven mostly be honor, which she does her best to pass onto Ezekiel.
History: Ezekiel's early life was pleasant. He grew up in a country rather far away. A land with it's own problems, it's own wars, and it's own power struggles. He was an apprentice to his father, a surgeon of renown in his little village.
That changed when the recruiter came, and Ezekiel was forced into the war.
Ezekiel was a good fighter, and even then, he was gifted with his powers, though he didn't quite realize them yet. Weapons would seem to fall out of his enemy's hands when he would block a spear thrust, leaving an opening, or a rock thrown to distract a foe would kill him instead, punching through his armor. Ezekiel chalked this up to luck. His men, however, called him blessed.
That changed when he saved his lord's life.
At the end of a hard skirmish, a figure in heavy plate came charging down the battlefield, trampling Ezekiel's men, and killing the rest with a massive blade that sliced through them like they were nothing but air. The strange knight seemed to have one objective, his general, his lord.
It was a long hard battle, but through his prowess with the spear, Ezekiel finally managed to bring the knight down, saving his liege. He was given an invitation, to be extended to include any surviving members of his battalion.
Once there, all of his men were killed before his very eyes. As it had turned out, the general did not like that he had been seen as weak, and in need of rescuing. The best way to solve that problem, as he saw it, was to eliminate the witnesses. He left Ezekiel alive, because he owed him his life, and instead branded him a slave for 'deserting' so no one would believe his story.
After many failed escape attempts, and another branding on his forehead, labeling him as 'dangerous', he met Syl. At first, Syl had seemed brainless, but the more they talked, despite the odd looks the others gave Ezekiel, the more she seemed to learn. With Syl's help, Ezekiel managed to finally escape, though the other slaves were not so lucky, and, again with Syl's aid, he learned about his powers, and how to use them.
As it is with many wayward men and women of power, eventually Ezekiel found his way to Jump City. What he hoped for, he wan't sure. He would have left a long time ago, if it wasn't for Syl.
Anything else: If you have read The Stormlight Archives, this is essentially an altered Kaladin
