Kaleo waited outside her office, normaly she would be inside but she wanted to go out in the city.. The dead would not leave her alone and kept showing flashes of images. She had a feeling it was the building Her sister and Red had taken down when they saved all those homeless people. Now she wanted to go there herself but not alone.. She wanted Red as well as her sister just in case something happened. She may have a gun and fighting skills but she could only do so much without having to use her true power. And she had done pretty well so far and was not about to start using it for battle if she could help it.. Kaleo sighed and looked at her watch as she wondered when Red would get there.

Kaleo didn't have long to wait as the all too familiar sound of Red's mode of transportation could be heard. Dahak did tend to have a rather distinct sound to it's footsteps as it's pilot took it to a parking space outside. Soon after that noise ended the door opened as Red came in with a smile on his face, his favorite nom bone clenched between his teeth like some sort of cigar and a box of donuts in his hands.
"Morning Kaleo! I brought some donuts today, in case you skipped breakfast again." Red said in a cheerful manner as he set the box on a cleared part of the desk before sitting down on a chair.
"So what's on the agenda today? Missing person again?"

When Kaleo heard the sounds of Red's Dahak she smiled and waited for him to enter. And blinked when he had brought in some donuts. Aw he was so thoughtful she was glad she had hired him, and the fact he knew what she was but he did not fear her like most people would.. Or hate her like Eric... She hoped to see him rarely as he made her uneasy.. Even though they where on the same team. Kaleo then shook her head as she stood up. " Sorry dear we don't have time for breakfast. I need you to take me back to the place you and my sister destroyed.. I have a feeling it may be connected to Hopeslayer. Will you take me there?." Kaleo ask asked looking dead serious. She just had to go there to find out and if anyone asked she would just say she was making her normal rounds around the city.

Red seemed a little surprised by the request to head back to the sight of his first job for Kaleo. It wasn't really a nice place or even in a nice part of town. It certainly wasn't a place that he'd ever want to take a lady to. Then again Kaleo was his boss and she had a good reason so he let out a sigh and nodded his head.
"Yeah, I can take you there. I don't really think it's a good idea to go sniffing around there again, but I'll do it if ya think it might help. Frankly that place gave me the creeps, it reeked of death but was covered up with the sterile scent of a doctor's office." Red shivered a bit in his seat at the memory.
"So will your sis be joining us today or just providing backup from the shadows?" Red added, regaining a bit of his good mood as he snatched up a donut and gobbled it up in two bites. Just cause Kaleo didn't have time for breakfast didn't mean he'd be skipping it.

Kaleo gave a small smile at Red's shock as would seem out of the blue to him. She nodded as he spoke of the danger and how bad it was. She had heard everything from her sister. But she still had to go check it out.. To get a better feel and see if any of the dead are still there. If so she could use them to find out who this Hopeslayer really is. When he asked if her sister was coming Kaleo nodded, "Yes dear she is, and as always she will be in the shadows. And thank you for agreeing to take me. And if anyone tried to talk to us I can just say I'm making my normal rounds."" Kaleo said as she then picked up her gun and placed it in its holster. That was hidden under her coat. She rarely used it and hated to use it. As she would prefer talking to mindless shooting but more often then not it happned.. " Ready when ever you are." Kaleo said as she went over to the door and walked out of the building.

Red stuffed another donut in his mouth before following Kaleo out the door, moving a bit quickly and jumping up onto Dahak so he could help Kaleo up. Once they were situated on his ride he took off down the road, remembering the way far better than he would care to admit. The mech trotted down the road, sometimes leaping over cars so that he didn't have to stop. It didn't take very long at all for them to reach the seedier part of town at their current rate, and instantly Red was on guard.
While the duo in the cockpit got a few looks from people on the sidewalk, no one really did anything threatening or even said anything to them as they passed. It took awhile longer, but they eventually came the site of the facility that Red had rescued the missing boy for his first job. To his surprise the place was much different than it had been last time. The fence was still there, the gate repaired as well, but the building was simply gone. There wasn't even rubble there, and the place looked like it had been paved over as a parking lot.
"I'm sure this is the place... but there was a building here last time." Red said with confusion as he looked at the practically empty lot before them.

When they got there Kaleo blinked at the seemingly empty lot. Well she knew things would not be the same as whoever owned the building and the plot of the land would not keep the place as a mess and would clean everything up. But even though she could still feel it.. Though the owner may have tried to hide what happened here Kaleo could feel the evil, sadness and a anger of the people who where killed.. And now they where starting to show themselves to her. Kaleo winced a little and shook her head, "One at a time please one at a time!"" Kaleo said projecting her thoughts to the spirits gathered here. " Its the right spot Red.. I can see them.. There are so many its almost overwhelming.. " Kalro said in a sad tone and looked like she was about to cry.
Kaleo then jumped down from Dahak and started to walk around but did not go past the fence or the gate. As she knew she would most likely get into trouble. Kaleo then closed her eyes as she used her powers to reach out to the spirits and started to learn everything they had gone though. She then opened her eyes and looked back at Red, "Lets walk around a little bit.."" She said knowing just staying in one place would not be a good idea.

Red hopped down from Dahak and walked alongside Kaleo, he looked around but even his heightened senses couldn't see and hear what she did at the moment. While it was a bit creepy he didn't say or show anything since Kaleo was his friend and her gift wasn't a bad thing, even if he didn't truly understand it. She was just different, like the mystics back home.
"So what are they saying? I mean, is it anything useful?" Red asked in almost a whisper, fearing that any loud noise might ruin Kaleo's concentration.
One ghost in particular seemed to demand more attention than the others, following Red and Kaleo. It was an elderly old man with a long beard and ragged clothing. It was obvious what his cause of death was judging by the large hole in his chest and many slash wounds that crisscrossed his whole body.
You converse with the dead... but do not compel us to speak? Interesting. Then you may be able to help us finally rest as well. Yet you and your strange companion are in danger even now by simply being here... The ghost stated, though only Kaleo could hear him speak.

Kaleo saw the old man and it took everything she had not to gasp at how he looked, and not to show any signs she had seen him. She kept walking like no one was talking to her. But she had noticed that Red had left Dahak behind. So before speaking to the ghost she looked at Red with a warmhearted smile, "Red Dear, it may not be a good idea to leave Dahak behind. With all the gangs that live around here I would hate for them to take it apart and sell the parts. " Kaleo said. With her mind she spoke to the ghost, "" I know of the danger but I had to come. And yes if you wish to speak with me you may. Though I will not force you." Kaleo said with her mind a she then smiled back at Red, " Lets go over this way dear."" Kaleo said as she then started to move away from the area the building once was. Knowing if she stayed there the danger would only grow. And if anyone came up to them she would just say she was patrolling and on the look out for any gangs that may be casing any trouble.

"Like Dahak would just let someone else touch it. It's got a security system built into it ya know." Red said with a grin, but even so he looked around at their surroundings and decided that it would probably be better to be safe than sorry. He went back to his mech and hopped up into the cockpit and started it up. Soon he was walking the mech behind Kaleo, casting wary glances around them as if waiting for something to jump out at them. At least if anything did come out he'd be ready.
The ghost continued it's conversation with Kaleo since Red couldn't not see or hear him.
You need to know that the Hopeslayer has eyes everywhere. Even now he most likely watches you. While your companion and another helped disable this place and free the living, it was but one of many such places. Hopeslayer preys upon us that others would rather ignore. Criminals, homeless, runaways... the invisible populace are what he takes because no one truly cares. The ghost paused then, seemingly saddened at all this.
So are you here to try and stop him, or perhaps you came to put us all to rest?
