Inspection Time (Yuki)

[Phantom]

In the air, crossing the city very noticeably, was the big black dragon that was Lena. Sure she drew some attention to herself as she glided across the sky. It wasn't every day you get to see a dragon in the open but there was something different about this one. In one claw, she held a knocked out Damian who was still bleeding quite badly and the other claw was defrosting from her little encounter with a witch. In a matter of a few wingbeats, Lena made her way over to Malady's mansion and landed in the backyard. Carefully, she set Damian down before changing back into her human form. Changing from one to the other still felt odd to the girl but that wasn't her priority. Quickly she made her way to the back door of the manor, the door to her and knocked rather loudly. She was hoping Malady would be as insufferable as ever and storm to the door but in any case, she hoped someone would answer. Its not like she knew what to do with a bleeding magical swordsman.

The first to notice Lena was Justice, when she flew over the mansion she looked up shocked a dragon had landed in the backyard, Justice then let her wings appear as she then started to rise into the air, she then flew to the backyard and was shocked to see the dragon turn into a young girl and Damian badly hurt on the ground. "Damian!! What happened!!" Justice called out as she landed next to the hurt ex-slayer. She saw he was bleeding badly. he must have been in a nasty fight she had to do something and fast.. "Damian! Wake up now!! Come on!" Justice as she started to slap him to make sure he was alive.

Mean while inside Malady indeed heard the knocking, with a frown she stopped what she was doing and went to the back door though thought it was very odd that someone was at the back door in the first place... She opened the door and was about to yell when she saw it was Lena a half dragon she has once saved, " L-lena?? What are you.. What the?" Malady said as she looked past Lena had saw Damian badly hurt. "Damian! what did you do now!?? Justice help me get him in side..." Malady said as she ran over and with the help of Justice got him inside and placed him on a random couch, " Justice clean the wound I will get something to patch it up.." Malady said as she took off. Justice nodded as she got to work.

Lena glanced over her shoulder at Justice when the girl began smacking Damian to try and wake him up. It was funny, that was for sure but to her knowledge his temperature was dropping fast. His eyes opened briefly and any words he might have said ended up a slurred mess of nonsense before he slowly lost consciousness again. Unable to really do anything, Lena waited for Malady to open the door and when she did, Lena glanced back at Damian and spoke. "I need your help with him. He might be dying." Her words were simple but her tone a bit concerned.

She followed the pair inside when they carried him in and watched them both. "Is there anything you want me to do to help?" Her offer was quick, since it was only right to return the favor she owed both Malady and Damian. She flinched slightly as Malady barked orders to Justice. It was strange to see someone like Malady being so caring over someone who had once been her enemy but the thought made Lena smile. Things were bound to get interesting here especially since Lena knew nothing of the tracking spell she had on her.

Justice was shocked at how cold Damian was she had finished cleaning his wound and was able to stop the bleeding. If only her healing powers worked on others.. But they only worked on herself.. Though when Lena asked if she could help. Justice looked at the dragon girl with a smile and nodded, " Yes please start a fire in the fire place and get some blankets. Poor Damian is freezing we have to warm him up or he could freeze to death." Justice said softly and calmly. Being in a panic would not help so she had to stay calm. Soon Malady came and started to work on Damian patching up his wounds and when she was done also left to get some plankets. When she came back she placed some on Damian and looked at Lena.

" Lena what happened... Why is Damian hurt like this again??" Malady asked. Justice looked at Damian And placed her hand on his hand and blinked in shock when she could feel magic.. This was not good.. " Malady! Some sort of magic did this to him I think it may be best to use magic to cure him. Do you know any magic users?" Justice asked. Malady looked at Justice blinking then frowned. Magic.... No but I may know someone who does.. Fox or Taji they joined a hero team and Taji spoke of friend who is a witch.. hang on.." Malady said a she took out a cell phone and called Taji, telling her everything that was going on and hung up. "Ok, Taji is on her way with her friend now.. I hope they get here fast.." Malady said as she then made her way to the door to watch for Taji and her friend.

Lena did as she was asked and got a fire going in the fireplace. For her, it wasn't exactly as simple as one would expect but she did it anyway. With a glance back to Malady, she carefully regarded the half celestrian's words carefully. If she said too much, Malady would probably throw a fit but if she didn't say enough she'd probably go all evil and force some information out. After choosing her words carefully, Lena spoke. "He was caught sneaking into a slayer base and got in a fight trying to escape." It was all she could say without letting slip that it was Damian's own sister that had done that to him.

Walking over to Malady and Justice, she looked down at Damian and sniffed the air. The magic coming off him burned her senses. "I think if you can get him at least semiconscious he could break the spell. He does have a habit of breaking his own spells halfway through casting them." Though her words were cautious, she was more focused on the smell of magic on him than she was on the magic coming off herself. To her, she always smelled like magic since she technically wielded it herself to change from human into the beast the slayers feared.

Malady knew Lena was hiding something but she did not ask, as she was to worried about Damian to waste anytime.. As she looked out a window she looked for any sign of Taji and her friend. And soon she saw something, it looked like a green flying orb with two people in it. It soon landed in Malady's front yard and Taji and a girl ran to the door as Malady opened It to let them in. " This way.." Malady said as she then took them to where Damian was. Once there Fane went over looking after Damian as she then started to look through her magic book. " I have a spell that can work and it will help warm him back up as well.." Fane said as she held the book up and removed her had and the book stayed flouting in the air.

Fane then started to chant spells in words that no one would be able to understand. Soon the book started to glow as well as her staff as magic then started to enter Damian breaking the spell placed on him as well as making him warm again. Taji stayed back as she still did not trust Damian... But she was not going to be cold hearted and let someone die... As she was a hero and hero's even saved those that may try to kill them. Justice stood back and watched in awe it was the first time she had ever seen a spell casted. Malady just waited and hoped this would work. After a few minutes Fane finished the the spell and held the book in her arms again, " Ok, he should be fine now. Just need to wait for him to wake up." Fane said with a smile.

Lena watched Fane as she weaved her spell. It was a wonder how magic could be so beautiful in the hands of one person and so deadly in the hands of another. After watching in awe for a moment, she turned her attention back to Damian and waited to see if the lumbering idiot would wake up. If not, she could probably help but he wouldn't be too happy about it. Her thoughts trailed off as he started to move ever so slightly.

With the slightest twitch of his hand, Damian started to regain his sense of feeling. To him it was almost like he'd been trapped in a dream. It was a good dream, but he was thankful he could wake up again. Opening his eyes a bit he tried not to yawn and looked around at the people slowly as if his mind had yet to comprehend where exactly he was. Once settling his gaze on Malady, he bolted upright making himself dizzy at the movement and spoke. "I swear I didn't do anything stupid." Of course only he would say something so idiotic right now.

Meanwhile back at the base, Celes was preparing to trace her little spell on Lena to find her current location. It wasn't too hard a feat since the spell itself was hers. But her first priority was giving someone under her command a lovely little wake up call. It was time the little cat burglar did what he did best and finish the job she had started. In a swift movement as she was headed out of the base with a handful of soldiers, she pulled her phone out and called a number on her speed dial. "Hello Marrok? I have a job for you..."

Malady looked unamused as she glared at Damian woke up, when he spoke she rolled her eyes, " Says the idiot that was on my couch just moments from death just seconds ago.." Malady said in a annoyed tone. Though she did not get any closer to him as he already seemed startled enough as it is. " Mind telling me what the hell happened? Your little friend here was not telling me much." Malady said as she looked over at Lena then looked back at Damian again waiting for a answer, and of she did not get one she would most likely hurt Damian... Justice smiled when Damian woke up but her eyes grew wide when he suddenly sat up, "Hey don't sit up so fast you still need to rest!" Justice said as she then forced Damian to lay back down again. Mean while Fane stepped back and Taji stayed silent and looked at each other unsure what to do at the moment.

[Phantom]

Damian let Justice force him to lay back down. His gaze slipped to Fane and Taji as the grin he'd had vanished. "Hey...Thanks for helping me." His words were directed to the pair that had fallen silent. With a soft chuckle, he looked back at Malady. "Its nothing you need to worry about. Just breaking and entering...an Lena happened to be there too." He answered Malady's question whether or not she liked the answer he gave her. Technically she was specific, so technically he didn't need to give her a specific answer.

While Damian made a fool of himself yet again, Lena just stood back and watched, smiling at how he avoided telling people what happened while telling them exactly what happened. She had to hand it to the idiot for being able to do this, especially since she remembered exactly what Malady was capable of. "The past is the past, Malady. Why don't you leave it be and let him rest." Her tone was soft but pointed out the obvious. They should be letting the kid who almost died have some rest before interrogating him.

Meanwhile...

A lone, black cat streaked down the street, searching for a specific address. The address that was currently holding a certain little half breed with a tracking spell on her. Sure it was just a "for hire" job, but the money paid well. Stopping at the front door of The Angel of Death, one could almost say the cat smirked just before it faded into nothing but a thin wisp of fog and disappeared. Appearing on the other side of the front door in that same thin mist, the cat clung to the shadows as it made its way through the estate. It was only a matter of minutes before the cat sat in the shadow behind the couch, concealed from sight, listening to their conversation quietly.

Malady frowned at both answers, she then glared at both Lena and a Damian. They just did not seem to understand why she wanted to know. " Those are not answers you both know it... Did it ever cross your thick skulls that who ever you two had a fight with could some how track you both here??? I would like to know who I may be seeing at my door. So now lets try this again. Tell me who you two where fighting or I wont hesitate to kick you both out into the streets." Malady said looking deadly serious with tone of voice to match. She may have been getting better at being a "good guy" But she was still a rather dark person and for those who annoyed her still paid the price. " Ether way Damian wont get much rest...." Malady said darkly looking at Lena trying to prove a point. Justice sighed, her sister still had a long way to go.. But could blame her for being this way? The life she had to live after their parents died.. " Malady does have a point you two, please don't keep secrets just tell us so we can be of some better help." Justice said to Lena and Damian as even she could tell they where hiding something.


When Damian looked over at Fane and Taji thinking them, Fane smiled and nodded, Taji just looked away rubbing the back of her head, She still did not trust Damian but there was no reason not to help him. A life is a life and it would have been wrong just to sit by and do nothing. Though when Malady brought up the fact they could have been tracked and seeing as they fought some sort of magic user Fane then started to get to work. She held up her book again as it started to flout in the air. The pages started to turn as if the book where alive. And the page it stopped on made Fane's eyes grow wide. But she would have to cast the spell for proof. So saying a few words that no one could understand Lena started to change color as the tracker spell on her was forced to show itself. " Malady is right, the magic user you both fought put tracker spell on you.. I should have noticed this as soon as I entered here." Fane said looking worried. Though it may be to late she then started to cast a spell to remove the tracker spell and soon Lena looked normal again. " I think we better get ready for a fight.." Taji said as her eyes turned more dragon like now.
