Name: Haddek 'Judas' OreSeur
Age: Unknown
Race: Changeling
Powers:
Shape-shifting: Changelings can change their physical appearance at will. Commonly, this change is to imitate a animal, or a person, but there are no limitations to what one could change into. While the disguise is not perfect, it would take rather close scrutiny to notice that the changeling is not what he/she seems, especially if one does not know the subject being impersonated personally. For example, it would be more difficult for a CEO to notice that some employee is not really a human, than for somebody to notice that their close friend is acting strange.
Shape-shifting limit: While a changeling's weight might grow or diminish according to what it's impersonating, the other attributes of its body does not change in any significant amount. A changeling won't grow super strong as a result of impersonating a behemoth of a man, and he won't gain intense agility for impersonating a jungle cat.
Stealthy: After years of working as an infiltrator, among other jobs, 'Judas' has learned to be quiet when among enemies. He tends to hide more often than not, especially when undisguised.
Weakness: As part of his eternal 'contract' 'Judas' is not allowed to kill or seriously wound any human, no matter how much they threaten him. Even if he were to be in mortal danger, the 'contract' would decree that he must run, no matter how futile that may be, than to fight back.
Date of birth: Unknown
Home:Jump City
Alliance: Ever shifting. Whoever pays him is his ally until his job is done.
Relationship: None
Appearance: Without any disguise, 'Judas' has the basic shape and structure of a human, though he has skin that seems to change color from a light blue, to a royal purple, based on how the light is shining on him. He wears tight fitting clothing along with a mask that covers his entire face, for anything too baggy would interfere with his natural abilities. Except for his skin, and peculiar choice in clothing, he is most notable in how average he appears. He is of middling height, weight, and musculature.
Personality:'Cynical' would be a good word to describe the personality of Haddek. 'Paranoid' would be another. In his line of work, trust is an easy way to be double-crossed. With this in mind, he comes into every situation with quite a healthy dose of of pessimism, and obvious sarcasm in his voice, he survives in the criminal underbelly of Jump City.
History: Some of the popular 'histories' that Haddek gives people include: A magical mistake creating him from a lump of clay; that he is the final member of a dying race; that he is a human that merely had special powers. The truth is, however, that Haddek was not always known as Haddek. Many years ago, so long that he had forgotten his original name, he was just your average criminal, living life as best he could, given the circumstances.
Haddek always had a desire for power, however. At least, he did until one day, when his desire turned him into the...thing he is today.
He was confronted one night by a man in a rather expensive looking suit. The man singled him out from all the other criminals that he was stuck with, and bade him to follow as he left. Haddek did, wary, but eager. The rich criminals tended to have grander plans, and he was definitely willing to pull a heist planned by such a wealthy man.
He was not taken up for a job, he soon came to realize, but the man brought him to something that seemed like a office, within which he offered him power beyond his wildest dreams. Expecting 'power' to be of the material and influential kind, Haddek willingly agreed. And so, the man had him sign a paper, a formality, he assured, a contract, promising that he wouldn't kill anybody while under the man's 'employ'. Haddek found it odd, signing a contract for a heist, but he wasn't too deterred, the reward was great, why give it up because he didn't want to promise not to get too violent with the victims.
He signed the paper, and--at the request of the sharply dressed man--he cut his hand, dripped some blood onto the contract, then marked the paper with a bloody fingerprint--such action was odd, of course, but Haddek hadn't ever signed a contract before, so how was he to know how they worked? As soon as the paper was signed, the sharp dressed man disappeared, leaving Haddek alone, and confused. That's when the pain hit. It was intense, and he quickly blacked out.
When he awoke, he found in his hand a strip of paper. It was short, and written with a very neat hand. The small piece of paper told him little, his new name, Haddek, and a brief reminder to remember the contract. It was then that he realized what he now was.
As of now, he resides in many places throughout the city, in various criminal hideouts. His main 'house', however, is located in the sewers. It isn't much of a house, mostly just a bedroom, and an office, for contracts. And so, Haddek makes his living, selling his services, as per the contract--without which, he would not be allowed to leave his main home.
Anything else: Personalities change, of course, depending on who is is impersonating, and how much time he has had to learn about them.
