Overall, Sayaka lacks the training needed to use most of her powers outside of her transformed state. Without being transformed she is, essentially powerless and only has her wit to get her out of danger. Though her soul gem takes the form of the ring on her left middle finger, she refuses to use its power right now as she believes there is no reason to fight. The way she is now is a slowly descending path into despair and unless saved, she's going to end up the very thing she was supposed to fight.
Magesight - The ability to see Witches, Familiars and their marked victims. Also allows them to see the cloaked dimensional rifts that Witches hide in. (used as civilian and Magical Girl)
Tracking - Using her soul Gem as a tracking device allows her to trace the magical energy of Witches and familiars as well as locating/revealing the pocket dimensions that the Witches hide in. (only useable before transforming)
Transformation - Thanks to her contract with a certaindevil alien, Sayaka (along with others) have the ability to transform into a magical girl. Aside from the obvious change of clothes through Sailor Moon-ish transformations, they also gain the use of their full abilities. This ability is granted by a gem that quite literally contains their soul. If the gem is too far away, the body is lifeless. At most the gem can be 10 feet away before the person who's soul it contains dies. The downside to this initial transformation ability is that if the Magical Girl's grief/despair/inner darkness becomes equal to or greater than the light of their wish, they become the very thing they were fighting against (a Witch). The gem itself can transform as well. Each magical girl has unique abilities specifically based off of their wish and their innermost desire. Sayaka's abilities after transforming include:

Initially, Sayaka's life is uneventful. She was born to a middle class family in Mitakihara Town, Japan. She went to school and barely passed, had friends, and lived life to the fullest. At least that's how things were until her and her best friend Madoka encountered a little alien cat thing named Kyubey. He offered them both a single wish in exchange for fighting witches. Of course it sounded like something anyone would jump for, but Madoka and Sayaka both took the time to thing about it first. Though they took their time, the exchange student Homura continued to tell them that they should not make the contract. Because of this they met another person, named Mami, that had made this contract. They went on witch hunts and it seemed as if they'd be good friends especially when Mami answered any and all questions that they had about being a Magical Girl, only problem was that Mami may have known a lot and may have been a veteran but she didn't know everything about Magical Girls.
While Sayaka took her time to think, she visited the boy she loved in the hospital every day to check on him. At one time, he'd had such potential and talent but an accident took that away from him and ruined his life. Unable to walk or play violin, he was confined to a hospital bed while going to rehab. Sayaka visited him to bring him hope but instead, he ended up being the reason for her to stay strong. One day while visiting the hospital they encountered a witch named Charlotte. Charlotte was different than the other witches and in the end nearly killed them all until Homura stepped in to save them. She made it clear to everyone that being a Magical Girl will only get you killed.
Shortly after, Sayaka made her wish and took the contract that had been offered her. The wish she sold her soul for: The boy she loved to be healed. Later that same night Sayaka's best friend was in trouble and how better to test her newfound powers than to save her friend along with all the people the witch had marked for death. It had taken a matter of a few minutes to kill the witch but the happiness was soon ruined by Homura's appearing out of nowhere yet again. Once again, Sayaka ignored Homura's warning and did as she pleased, even going so far as to track a familiar by herself.
Tracking was not the best thing to do. Mid battle with the familiar, a girl by the name of Kyoko interfered and batted away Sayaka's weapon like it was a joke to let the familiar escape. Angry at the interruption Sayaka yelled at the girl and they ended up fighting. The fight resulted in Sayaka nearly dying and Homura stepping in to stop the fight so neither would die.

Angry over what had happened in Mitakihara, she rashly asked her family for permission to transfer to the school in America where her uncle worked. Being granted that permission, her family bought the tickets after calling her uncle to inform him of what was happening. He was willing to take her in and her family allowed her to fly out to Jump City to start school within the week. She vowed to herself during that flight that one day she'd face the very things that had made her run away but until then there was no need for Magical Girl Sayaka.
"Now that I think about it, I really didn't understand anything back then. What it meant to pray for a miracle...and the price of one."

She is terrible at fighting because she has no actual experience and can easily be pwn'd by almost anyone. Also any info regarding the soul gem and such will be explained by Sayaka IC-wise, any other questions plz message me.
Side note: YES I LIKE PICTURES MORE THAN EXPLAINING! MAKES LIFE EASIER. and her history is edited to prevent the dying of the others in case someone wants to take them for epic plotness. Also, sparknote edition history is terribad even though i cut it short like halfway because dun need to start her with the circling spiral of self destructive emotions. Sorry.
Had to do this before I did Ravager because so much sadness and because I want to feel like a total dork/nerd/whatever xD

- Rapid Healing - Self explanatory. Sayaka can rapidly heal much faster than the average person, making minor to major injuries (ex. cuts and scratches to being impaled through the stomach) heal within a matter of seconds to minutes depending on the seriousness of the injury. Healing also diverts power from her other abilities making them weaker while healing. For Sayaka, her healing begins the moment she is injured. The more serious the injury, the longer it takes to heal and if she is moving while healing the injuries take more time as well. Smaller injuries like minor cuts and scrapes take the least amount of time to heal and are the easiest as they don't draw much power from the rest of her abilities. Life threatening injuries can knock her out and force her to heal while unconscious but if she is forced out of her transformed state she cannot heal any of her injuries and must either wait to transform again or let them heal like a normal person. Broken bones can not be healed by her powers and must be healed by normal means just as internal damage takes nearly as long to heal as life threatening injuries.
- Pain Suppression - Upon first transforming, a minor form of this ability becomes active to lessen the amount of pain felt so that she can continue fighting even while injured. Sayaka has mastered this ability to the point where she can willingly choose to completely shut out all pain (emotional and physical) at the cost of entering a berserker state with lessened reaction time. In that pain suppressed berserker state, the feeling of not feeling is almost like a high and keeps her attacking at all costs. (Berserker state of pain suppression is only used under deep emotional stress)
- Sword Summoner/Manipulator - When transformed, she gains a special cutlass and thanks to her innermost desire to be a 'Knight of Justice' like one of her friends/idols she has the ability to emulate their power of summoning with a few differences. Sayaka's ability is strictly for summoning copies of her cutlass. She can't change their size shape or anything and can't summon anything else. Once summoned, she can fire these swords in any direction she chooses as if she has telekinesis (which she doesn't). The downside to this power is that is extremely taxing and leaves her fatigued, not only that but it darkens her Soul Gem.
