Amara looked down at Fox when he spoke up and could not hold back her laughter. " Hey little guy I told you to stand back. Your fur is all poofy now!" Amara said still laughing. Sarah looked at Fox and could not help but giggle softly but said nothing. Fane just smiled, Taylor smiled and shook his head. Being around people who cared for him was helping Taylor to relax. Though the road they where going to walk was going to be a long and hard one. But they would make it if they all worked together. When Eric started to talk again all eyes where on him. When he spoke of the robots and said they should take some parts for Amara to study she nodded, " Right can do~ A few parts here and there and a motherboard... Though it would be nice if I could have all the parts to rebuild the robot.. But that may be impossible depending how badly broken they are. Amara said in a thoughtful tone.
Taylor nodded and started to walk, he knew where the robots where seeing that He and Fox had to deal with them. " The robots are over here." Taylor said as he started to lead the way. The others started to follow As they walked Taylor went deep into thought. He... He was going to be on a hero team.. But would he be able to make it?? There was still one person he had to overcome... If he can't he had no chance at taking on this new foe... He would have to tell everyone about John.. And see if they could give him any ideas. When they came to the wreck site of the robot men. Amara then ran ahead of everyone and started to look at the robots. " Wow.. Even at a glance I can tell these are high tech... I hope this is not above my skill level..." Amara mumbled as she looked. Then to everyone else she said, " Make sure to show me the parts you guys pick, we don't want to take a tracking devise back to the base." Amara said as she looked for a Motherboard that was not damaged.
Sarah, Fane, Taji and Taylor nodded and started to look around for anything that looked useful. As they did Taylor looked at Sarah. " Sarah? So where is this place you where talking about?" he asked. Sarah paused as she thought for a moment. Oh yeah!! Sarah smiled and side glanced Taylor. " Its under a old abandoned church, I was reading somethings about the titans during my free time and I read that Slade once had a base there but he left it behind. I don't remember why though... But it is still there I don't think anyone would think to look for us there." Sarah said and went back to looking. Taylor's eyes grew wide when Sarah said that. " Slade... As in one of the most powerful bad guys ever.. Slade as the one who almost took down the titans!! Slade!" Taylor said not holding back in his fear of the idea talking over his old base. Sarah just smiled, " Yeah him. Don't worry Taylor he has been gone for a long time now. The Titans did beat him. For all we know he could be dead. besides even if he was still around I don't think he even remembers his old base so we wont be in a any danger." Sarah said. " I.. I hope your right..." Taylor said and went back to looking.

Eric couldn't help but chuckle at Fox's appearance as well. Fox seemed oblivious till Amara said what had happened. "That's not nice making me go all poofy like that!" He said in an indignant tone, trying to smooth his fur back down and having little luck. Rubbing only caused more static electricity and amplified his problem. It seemed that Fox was going to be extra poofy till he got a brush and a bit of time to groom himself.
Eric and Fox strode alongside their companions toward the robots that Fox had taken down with his nature magic. The robots that Eric had fought were way too damaged to be of any use. Eric had been a bit overzealous in the use of his hammer in the battle, but he didn't regret it. The robots weren't alive and had wanted to harm Sarah and Fane. He'd never stand by and let people get hurt if he could stop it.
When they arrived near the destroyed robots they found them on the ground, having fallen down after the plants that impaled them quickly withered without Fox's magic to keep them at such an uncommonly large size. The wilted plants made Fox a little sad that he'd used them up so badly and he made a mental note to plant some flowers in the park when he had a chance.
Eric bent down and picked up a rather intact robot's head. The white mask like face was sort of creepy. It seemed to have glass eyes and no nose or mouth, and he felt like it was staring at him even though it no longer functioned. Perhaps the head would have something useful for Amara to look at. "Is this something that would be useful to look at? I must admit I know next to nothing about this type of thing... except how to smash them." The kitty knight chuckled a little as he strode toward Amara and showed her his find, more than willing to let her check it for any traps or 'tracking device'...whatever that was.
Fox was scrounging through the debris too, but he wasn't having as much luck as Eric had. The kitsune was crawling around on all fours with his nose near the ground as he actually sniffed around, trying to find something that might be important. His position paid off though as he spied a large piece of metal under a nearby car. He crawled over to it quickly and pulled it out from under the parked vehicle, finding an entire arm from one of the robots! It just happened to be an arm with a weapon built into it too, the little machine gun sticking up just behind the wrist of the clawed metal hand.
Fox lifted his prize over his head, tails wagging happily as he joined Eric and Amara. "I found this piece! This is a good piece right?" He was grinning again, forgetting how poofy his fur still was for a moment.

Amara turned and looked at the robot head Eric had brought over to her. " Yes, it could be useful thanks." She then took it form him and frowned as she looked at its lifeless face. Sure did look creepy... She would not want to have to face a working on if she could help it.. But she may have to after joining these guys... Well she would just have to train herself more is all. Amara then reached into her bag and took out a tool and started to work on the robot head takeing a few parts here and their and disarming any traps that may have been in the head. Then she found it, a tracking device in the robots head and it was still working. She then took it out setting it on the ground and smashed it with her foot. When Fox came over with a arm that had a weapon she looked down at him and smiled. " Sweet!! I could make some use of that! Well ok guys don't take to much, it will be a drag to carry so much parts." Amara said as she noticed that Taji had found a leg, Sarah fond torso, Taylor found another arm and Fane picked up a foot. Well it would not make a full robot but all those parts where better then nothing. " Ok that's good guys lets go to the base, Sarah you said something about one?" Sarah nodded, " Yeah, Its not far follow me." Sarah said and she started to lead the way and the rest followed.

Eric was more than happy to carry most of the parts the others found, after Amara gave them them the all clear on them. He simply didn't like to see ladies carrying things when he was around, it just wasn't the gentlemanly thing to do after all. Thankfully Fox was there to help carry some stuff as well, and it didn't seem the little fellow had any trouble carrying the arm he'd found earlier as well as the foot Fane had picked up. "I'll be happy to see this base you speak of, then we can start getting the place in shape!" Eric declared, hefting the robotic head, torso, arm, and leg. He was having a little difficulty carrying nearly a full robot himself but he wasn't going to show that in front of the ladies either! It would be a relief to set all this metal down though once they arrived.
Fox had the robot foot in one pocket and he kept turning the arm around to look at it as they walked, paying special attention not to let the wickedly sharp claws on the end scratch him. The things looked like knives and gleamed brightly with a mirror like polish to them. "I wonder why the arm can bend like that..." He asked aloud to no one in particular, noticing the elbow seemed to be able to bend both ways quite easily as it was literally double jointed. He was tempted to keep the arm for himself due to the shiny claws on the end, but decided that it might be better if Amara got to look at it. Why did bad things sometimes have to be so shiny? It just didn't seem fair.

Sarah sweat dropped when Fox and Eric took the robot parts from all the girls. Ok that was a nice thing to do but she could have held on to that torso... Oh well she had a feeling if she tried to take it back the Knight would not hear a word of it. Fane had no complaints for she was used to that kinda thing so she just shrugged it off. Taji could not help but blush a little, she was not used to be treated like a lady.. She was used to being treated like a kid or a monster... As they walked the group talked After walking who knows how many blocks they came to a part of town that seemed to be more run down and deserted. And there was the church that Sarah had spoken of. " There it is! The old church!" Sarah said and she took off in a run, Fane, Taji and Amara chased after her seeing they where carrying nothing. Taylor mumbled just a little but other then that as he carried the arm he had walking slowly so not to cut himself on the sharp claws. When Sarah and the girls got inside they stopped and looked around. " Well, looks like we have to look for the switch that opens the door." Amara said and started to look around. Sarah, Fane and Taji all nodded and split up around the room/s to look for the switch. Taylor came in soon after and set the robot arm he had and looked over at Amara, " What are you looking for?" Taylor asked. Amara looked back at Taylor, " A switch that will lead to the base." she said and went back to looking. Taylor nodded and jumped in to help.

Eric and Fox both seemed relieved to see the old church, as neither one knew it had once been the hideout for one of the more infamous villains in the city though it was now long abandoned. Eric set the parts he was carrying down and helped search the area for the hidden switch. "An abandoned church... how oddly fitting. My armor and weapons were blessed by priests to fight evil. The church actually comforts me, and if we can use this place to help fight evil then all the better." Eric said with a smile.
Fox tilted his head to one side, not really getting the whole church thing. "So it's like a big shrine right? Humans are weird sometimes, but that's what makes you all so much fun too!" Fox said happily as he leaned the arm he was carrying up against the wall and then started to search too. Fox transformed back into his full fox form, running around on all fours and sniffing random areas. He was a trickster by trade and species, so finding a trick latch for a hidden door was actually pretty easy for him.
"I think I found it!" Fox said bouncing up and down in place before transforming back to his normal form again. After his transformation he hopped up onto a rotted old book case, which luckily held his weight without breaking. He needed that little boost to actually reach the switch, grabbing an old candle sconce on the wall and twisting it to one side. Sure enough as soon as it turned the wall nearby began to slide out of the way.
"Heh heh heh! Humans have been using that old trick since before I was born!" Fox said with a sly grin on his face as he wagged his tails.

Amara blinked and frowned, not that she was mad that Fox found the door first but it seemed to easy... She then ran ahead of everyone and blocked the opened door. " Hey hey hey!! Slow down everyone! This place may have been abandoned but I don't think Slade would have just left it open just for anyone to come in! He may have left some traps behind. Please let me take a look, we don't want anyone getting hurt or this place to blow sky high." Amara said and looked at everyone in the room. Sarah nodded in agreement, " Your right he would have done something like that. Most likely for the titans seeing as he was always messing with them." Sarah said. " Ok.. But please be careful Amara." Taji said. " I will have some spells at the ready just in case." Fane said and she started to chant a spell. If there is anything we can do please tell us.." Taylor said. Amara nodded and took some sort of device out of her bag, a flashlight and what looked like some spray. She then turned around sprayed the hallway and turned on her flashlight and her eyes grew wide. She knew it... wire and lazer traps... Ugh.. " ugh..... I sometimes hate it when I;m right..." Amara mumbled as she started to think up a plan.

Fox was about to hurry down the steps when Amara stopped him, he crossed his arms for a moment as he thought she might be trying to play a trick on him for finding the door first. His ears twitched though as he heard how sincere she was though so he uncrossed his arms and nodded instead. "Okay... I don't really know much about modern traps." He admitted reluctantly.
"Aye. I'm not too good with any modern items either. Good thing you decided to join us! Let me know if there's anything I can do to help." Eric said with his usual confidence, though his ears flicked in agitation when he saw the lasers become revealed.
"What kind trickery are those red lines of light? Tripwires you say? Huh. New technique same principle I guess. They used to use actual wire back in my time, usually a cave in or some loaded crossbows... though there was that one unfortunate incident where that fellow got drenched in scalding oil. Ghastly scene that was!" Eric stated, reminiscing just a bit about his own time period a bit.
Fox was listening to Eric quite intently though, able to comprehend what the red lines of light were then. "Oh! So those red lights trigger a trap... but you can't see them without that spray? How crafty! No wonder the alarm went off at... er, nevermind." Fox said, cutting himself short. It probably wouldn't be best to mention breaking into that jewelry store... twice.

Amara started to sweat a little, she had no idea how she was going to get by this without setting anything off.. Ugh if only she was a technopath like Yuki... Then she would have just been able to turn off the lazers... the wires though still would have been tricky.. Well she can still turn off the lazers with her hacker device. That she never used but carried it around just in case she ever needed it. With her flashlight she panned around the hallway and with luck she saw a jack in close by. She the carefully stepped inside the hallway, when she got to the jack in she plugged in her hacker device and the screen on it lit up. She then started to hack into the system of the base. Lucky everything here was so out dated she was able to get inside as if she was Slade herself. Ahhh gotta love the advances of tech these days~ " Ah, this system is so out dated its not even funny! I should have all the lazer traps down as well as any other traps that work of the system.. But the wire ones will be a little more tricky... Oh! lights that will help!" Amara said as she turned on the lights in the hallway. " Ok, anyone have any ideas for the wire traps?" Amara asked the others.

Fox seemed glad that no one had noticed his little slip about setting off an alarm awhile back. It wouldn't be good if anyone here thought he was some sort of bad guy! He just liked shiny things was all... especially when he could share his shinies with his green alien girlfriend. He suddenly wondered if maybe Morpha would want to join this group and decided to ask her about it later. "Well wire traps are pretty easy to get past if you know they're present. One can simply step over them, or go under them, or if you want to disarm them you just need a couple little clamps and something to cut the wires with! It's really easy with the right tools." Fox said, not realizing that he was talking about bypassing old security like it was something he did all the time... which is was back about two hundred years ago.
Eric was also familiar with the old style traps as well. "Yes, simple wire traps aren't that bad to get by. It does take a little time and the right tools to properly disarm them though as Fox stated. It might be easier to find what the wires are connected to and then disarm whatever it's set to spring on us though. I rather expect something a little more forceful than some crossbow bolts or hot oil in this day and age. Oh! Do make sure there aren't any pressure plates! Sometimes the wires are just a distraction from another more deviously hidden trap. Had to find that one out the hard way..." Eric rubbed at his shoulder as he recalled accidentally setting off a secondary trap back in his training. He still had a small scar where the arrow had pierced him.
